Izayoi Cup, Tanka Category. Surprisingly, it's all about Conan...

I'll be participating in the Tanka category too.
Autumn poems, autumn poems~.

First, the first poem.

By your side, my feelings for you are mysterious
The Izayoi moon, please deliver my prayers

I composed this with GARNET CROW's 'Misty Mystery' in mind. This song was the reason I learned to read 'Izayoi' (sixteen-night moon).
I had no idea this existed in sake, so when I was asked, 'Do you know how to read this?',
I was the fool who read it as 'Jurokucha!' without hesitation (lol).

The moment I saw the title 'Izayoi Cup', I remembered this song.

It's an opening theme song for Detective Conan,
and it's memorable because Shinichi, Ran, and the Metropolitan Police detectives
all sing one bar during the chorus.
This PV also features a foreign version of GARNET CROW, giving the feeling that 'another self' is being projected.

In the tanka, I superimposed it on Shinichi and Ran, who have been childhood friends for a long time and are always by each other's side as Conan and Ran, yet can't quite convey their feelings to each other.
(Though they are dating now!)
Since it's a mystery and it's Conan, I definitely wanted to include the word 'mystery' in this poem.

While I was thinking about autumn poems,
I ended up writing another one with a Conan theme.

Take off your hat, my hair color is revealed to you
Honestly praised as being like a ginkgo leaf

This is about the first love of Professor Agasa, who develops the secret weapons Conan uses (like the stun-gun wristwatch and skateboard).

The girl he liked was mixed-race and had blonde hair.
There are several mixed-race children in Conan who are bullied. For example, Ai Haibara. She said that when she was in America under the organization's orders, she was told terrible things because of her East Asian appearance.
Even Toru Amuro (real name: Rei Furuya),
who is a national treasure-level handsome man (lol), used to fight with his classmates every day when he was a child because his skin and hair color were different from those around him.
The Professor's first love was no exception.

She would always wear her hat pulled down low
to hide her blonde hair.
One time, when her hat blew off in the wind,
she asked the Professor
not to look at her hair because it was different from everyone else's.
She was afraid of being teased like her classmates did.

But the Professor
gave his honest opinion,I like it. It's beautiful, like a ginkgo leaf!This led her to launch a brand. Of course, they both love each other.

Wait, does the Fusae brand actually exist in the real world?

Now that I've come this far,
I have to write a third poem with a Conan theme!

Ginkgo-lined street, caught in the rain, that woman
Fulfilling a promise made 10 years ago

It's a bit over the syllable count, but I actually managed to write it!!
Let me explain.

A few hours before the Professor and his first love reunite for the first time in 40 years,
Ran and Sonoko are waiting in line for a certain brand.
Sonoko says it's rare for Ran to line up for a brand-name item.
Ran reminisces about the past, saying she made a promise to a certain woman, though she probably has forgotten by now.

Ten years ago, Ran was taking shelter from the rain.
A woman lent her an umbrella.
'If you do that, you'll get wet, ma'am?'
Ran worried.
The woman said, 'I want to get wet on the way home,' and tried to give the umbrella to Ran.

To Ran, who was still worried,
the woman made one proposal.
'When you grow up, buy one of my brand's products. The hint is a ginkgo leaf. It's not famous yet, but I'm going to do my best.'

If you're a great detective who has read this far, I think you know who this woman is.
I think she gave the umbrella to Ran with the feeling that it didn't matter if she didn't keep the promise or if she forgot about it,
but Ran remembered it clearly.

According to Ai Haibara, who loves brands,
it seems Fusaé brand also sells reasonably priced items.
