An ordinary day is the happiest of all
The sunlight gently shakes my body.
7:00 AM. It seems I woke up early today. My husband is already up, though.
The day starts with a "good morning" greeting.
Today is going to be a good day, too!
In the morning, I tackle the pile of laundry, do some cleaning, and put the futon in the dryer. After the two of us scurry around the room, we have a cup of coffee. It's almost the season for hot drinks again this year. My heart fills with the warmth slowly radiating from the cup. This moment is so comfortable and happy.
I'm free until noon, so I watch YouTube or read. Whatever I'm in the mood for. Oh right, I also have to practice singing. Little by little, step by step. I start with the things I want to do right now.
After lunch, I go for a short walk. I feel refreshed by sensing the air outside. I find peace in the moments when I listen to nature.
When I'm tired, I take a nap. The dreams I have in the gentle sunlight are very peaceful.
I surrender myself to the slow and leisurely flow of time.
At night, I have choir practice. A solid four hours.
I polish my skills in a friendly atmosphere with everyone. So that we can give our best performance when the time comes. I do what I can.
On the train ride there and back, I tap away on my note. The train car, filled only with ambient noise, is perfect for writing. While letting my thoughts wander to the scenery outside, I choose my words and weave them together...
When I get home, I have dinner with my husband. On days off, it's his turn. It's deeply delicious. I love the food my husband makes the most.
While the bath is running, I do some muscle training. Even if it's just 10 minutes, if I do it for three days, that's 30 minutes. I keep building it up.
After that, I relax in the bath. I'm in relaxation mode while watching YouTube... followed by some muscle training in the tub. Just enough so I don't get overheated.
After doing my skincare routine and a light stretch, a pleasant drowsiness sets in...
Good night.
Tomorrow will be a really great day too!
I thought I had written this with my imagination running wild, thinking, 'What would an ideal day be like?'...
This is my 'day off with just one practice session in the evening'.
It seems I was already living my ideal days! Of course, there are days with two sessions, and days with practice in the afternoon, so it doesn't always go exactly according to this schedule, but I spend about three days a month like this.
Without realizing it, what I wanted was already in my hands.
I felt that once again.
Ito-san, thank you for letting me participate!
