**Finding My Heart Moving Again After Solo Time at The Busena Terrace
Monday, July 14, 2025
It has already been over two weeks since I returned from my trip to Taiwan.
Without even a moment to soak in the memories of the trip,
I have been busy dealing with unexpected events day after day.
Perhaps my heart had been stretched thin without me even realizing it.

Last Wednesday,
I decided on a whim to go out on my own
and headed to Maroad at The Busena Terrace.

The yellow cake that had left an impression on me last time.
I had assumed it was lemon, but finding out it was actually passion fruit,
I chose it again without hesitation.

I was so full from the sandwich
that I didn't touch the cake and ended up taking it home.

The familiar lounge.
The sound of the piano flowing through the quiet, open-ceiling space
washes away the sediment that had built up inside me.

Even though I visited The Busena Terrace's Maroad alone,
the piano music was playing just as it always does,
and as I listened to those notes,
I felt the fatigue in my heart softening before I even realized it.
By touching the tropical breeze that overflows with a sense of openness,
the clock inside me that had stopped began to move quietly again from that moment on—
that is how I feel now.
***Evening Tea Time***

Since I was too full to eat the cake,
I took it home along with my husband's portion,
and after returning home, we slowly savored the lingering atmosphere of The Busena Terrace together.
Saturday, July 12th

On Saturday, my husband and I went to a restaurant with an ocean view.
The blue scenery spreading out beyond the window and the
relaxed atmosphere.
The calm time was the greatest healing for me right now.
Sunday, July 13th

And yesterday, Sunday, we went to
this restaurant, which I have liked since I first visited about a month ago.
to this restaurant.
Yesterday was also blessed with good weather, and we had lunch while looking at the sea.

A cool sea breeze was blowing comfortably through the outdoor terrace.

Casual conversation with my husband while enjoying
sweets and gazing at the sea spread out before us.
It is sometimes said in Okinawa that you get used to seeing the sea, but for us,
it is a landscape that captures our hearts
every time we see it.
***To the shop of glass artist Miyo Oyabu***

is the shop 'HIZUKI' by glass artist Miyo Oyabu.
The works bathed in sunlight had even more transparency.
They were shining in the natural light.
***Mangoes are in season***

Also, at the farmers market in Yomitan,
mangoes that are just in season were lined up,
and among them, I was drawn to the
premium mangoes with a 'guaranteed sugar content of 15 degrees or more'.

I sent them to my mother back home and my cousin who always supports her,
with a note of gratitude.
***Onna no Eki - Ryu-pin***

When it comes to mango shaved ice in Okinawa,
this shop at Onna no Eki is definitely the place.
They say they are currently using mangoes from Miyakojima.
It is a recommended spot I hope you will visit when you travel to Okinawa.
***Ripened Bananas***

The banana tree my husband is growing at home
has finally started to bear fruit.
Even in days that seem to have no major changes,
I feel happy once again
that there are things being nurtured little by little like this.
Today I went to hot yoga in the afternoon and Zumba in the evening.
This was finally my second yoga session this month.
Perhaps because my exercise pace had slowed down a bit,
I felt like my body had become slightly thinner,
and when I measured it with an InBody device, it showed that my muscle mass had decreased a little.
But that is also my body as it is right now. I feel like it reflects my state of mind.
I hope to take care of myself gently and get back in balance little by little.
It seems that hot days are continuing in your areas as well,
so please take care of your health and do not overexert yourselves.
