Poem: "Let's Go Pick Stars" [On Carbonated Embroidery]
If we weave a basket out of dandelions
let's go pick some stars
White stars, red stars, yellow stars, blue stars
Put them in an empty tin of foreign tea
and when you shake it three times, rattle-rattle-rattle,
they are all cold drops
Which color would you like?
I'll give you one
When you lick a white star that tastes of mint
a song spills from your cool, tingling mouth
When you lick a red star that tastes of roses
a whisper of love comes from your sweetened mouth
When you lick a yellow star that tastes of lemon
you purse your lips tight and set off on a journey across the sea
When you lick a blue star that tastes of soda
pop, pop, pop.
The carbonation of adventure bursts inside your mouth
Close your eyes and head to the deep sea
riding on an oarfish
I would like to participate in Aki Fujiie's wonderful poetry collection, 'Carbonated Embroidery'✨
