Google Maps: Surprised by the destructive power of just a few reviews

Today, I'm going to talk about seeing the
fundamentals of business in action.

Customers coming in without doing anything?

Recently,
my husband asked me to handle the web presence
for his small company.

Most of his company's customers come from the web.

...but, here's the thing.

The
theoretical efforts
said to be necessary for web customer acquisition are almost non-existent.

The website was built and left as is.
There's no sign of effort to rank high in search results.
Social media is inactive.

And yet

customers
constantly come from the internet.

The reason is Google reviews.

Apparently, customers all say the same thing.

"I came here because the Google reviews were really good."

Google reviews are
that thing on Google Maps.

From the administrator's side,
it's called "Google Business Profile."

For example,
"I wonder if there's a good dentist in Fukuoka?"
at times like that,

you would search on Google.

"Fukuoka dentist"

Then, many dentists
along with reviews and star ratings ⭐ will appear.

Most people
will pick out places
with a high star rating and
good reviews.

That's it.

Our company has
only a little over 10 reviews.

But they are all 5 stars.

And although there are only a few,
they contain moving comments.

The devastating power of 5 stars and comments

Along with 5 stars,
comments like "I was moved by this part"
bring in the next customer.

I am so grateful...

Unlike restaurants and the like,
our business has a high unit price per transaction,

so just bringing in one customer
is a tremendous contribution.

The people who wrote the comments,
I wonder if they even realize
that their comments are contributing this much to our sales?

You might be able to collect comments
even with fake reviews, but

moving comments that touch the reader's heart
and convey emotion between the lines

are not easy to get, I think.

The basics of business and the mechanism for delivery

I thought about the reasons why we can get all 5s even with just over 10 reviews.

• Solid skills cultivated steadily

• 50 years of accumulated time in business

• Sincere response to customers

And it is also thanks to the Google Maps system
that this company's services
can be delivered to so many people.

It's obvious, but
it must be difficult,
I suppose.

Is it a problem before delivery...?

I really
feel that I'm still a novice,
painfully so.

However, there is only one thing I can do.
