Daily updates are equivalent to one viral hit. I tried updating my note every day for a month
There's no particular reason, but I suddenly decided to give it a try and updated my note every day for a month.
Instead of how-to guides, I went all-in on diary entries, writing about 900 characters every day.
I'll briefly summarize what I gained and what I realized from doing this.
My PV increased by 10,000

This was my PV from a month ago. I had been writing notes here and there, but that included notes with just photos and weekly reports, so it was only about 15 diary entries.

And this is my PV when I updated daily. It's obvious, but I learned that updating more often makes it easier for people to see your work!! (Stating the obvious)
What's worth noting is the number of "likes." I received a lot of likes.
My followers increased by 100

This was from a month ago.

And this is now.
Note goes very well with Twitter, so when people quote-retweet it, it drifts through timelines and reaches various people, meaning it can sometimes be picked up by unexpected readers.
On the other hand, the hurdle for following is slightly higher than on Twitter (it's easy for people to just read one post and leave), so gaining readers just by updating daily is quite significant.
Daily updates might have an impact equivalent to one viral hit.
It's subtle, though.
I got better at gathering material from my daily life

I want you to take a close look at the screenshot from earlier; not only are my drafts not being cleared out, they are actually increasing.
Once you decide to "do it every day," you have no choice but to do it, so you inevitably start keeping your eyes peeled. When you look around like that, you realize just how much of a treasure trove of ideas every day is.
And so, whenever I find an idea, I just give it a title and save it as a draft on note.
That way, no matter how unmotivated I feel, when I open the draft, it's right there waiting for me, so I feel like, "I... I must finish this story!" and I'm able to write.
By repeating this infinite loop, even if you're lazy or just doing things half-heartedly, you can somehow keep going, and you'll never run out of ideas.
My self-esteem went up

Humans are very susceptible to temptation.
We slack off immediately. We play around. There are days when we're just no good.
But even on days like that, because I have the feeling of "At least I updated my note!!"I can maintain my self-esteem.
(Though there are some days so lazy that I think, 'Actually, maybe it should go down a little.')
Keep one promise you made to yourself every day.
That alone will raise your self-esteem. So, while updating note every day is by no means a light task, I think the important thing is how you can incorporate "daily updates" into your own life.
In my case,
1. Finish writing in 10 minutes
2. Keep a few pieces in stock
3. Create lots of drafts
I was able to pull it off using these methods. You'll start to find your own way of doing things as you go, so I'd like you to try keeping it up for just one week first.
I got featured on SmartNews

While I was continuing my daily updates like that, for some reason, I got featured on SmartNews.
And it was just a normal note that hadn't gone viral or anything.
My notes aren't really the type to go viral anyway. They're just diaries to begin with, they're only about 900 characters long, and I put way too much of my own personal feelings into them (lol).
Even for a note like that, I am grateful that someone thought it was good and featured it.
I don't recall any massive explosion in traffic, but looking back, the results are equivalent to a viral hit.
I would recommend daily updates especially to those who feel they cannot write anything edgy.
