I had too many unread books, so I paid to buy some reading time
I seriously haven't been able to read my books at all.
Even though I bought them as physical books, the days kept passing where I would get sleepy while reading or just end up carrying them around.
In the midst of that, what moved me was a word from a friend.

Whoa, that sounds amazing!
I feel like I had been looking for an opportunity like that somewhere in my heart. I agreed immediately.
On the day, I slipped the books I 'wanted to read but hadn't' into my bag and headed to 'fuzkue,' a shop specialized in spending time reading books.

You aren't allowed to talk. No computers. You should avoid using your smartphone as much as possible. In an environment where you even whisper to the staff, everyone is reading books to their heart's content.

I also sat at the counter and opened the book I brought. It's a small shop, but you can order food, so you can stay all day. If you get sleepy, you can even go out for a walk.

On the bookshelf, there are books that look a bit worn with age. I wonder if they belonged to someone else.

By the way, I was shocked by how delicious the juice I casually ordered was. There was pear compote inside the homemade pear syrup soda. It was so delicious that I gulped it all down.

On the way, a sofa seat opened up, so I moved. There was even a footrest, it was too comfortable!!
I almost fell asleep while burying myself in the fluffy sofa, but I braced myself, thinking, 'No, no, I paid money to read books!!!'
I immersed myself deeply in the world of books here for three hours. I finished two books from my 'to-read' pile and read half of 'Ano Ko wa Kizoku' that was on the bookshelf.Such a great achievement.
By the way, this 'fuzkue' has three locations in Tokyo: Hatsudai, Shimokitazawa, and Nishi-Ogikubo. I visited the Hatsudai location this time, but I would definitely like to visit the other shops next time.
