I love E-Tele's "I Love Me".
Since my child was born,
I've started watching E-Tele programs together with them.
(And now, I've come to love the peaceful E-Tele
the most 😙)
Watching how my child's interests shift
exactly according to the target age group,
I'm truly impressed.
It must be made with so much research behind it.
One of the programs my child has liked
for about a year now
is "I Love Me".
It's a program that teaches us to know and cherish our own hearts and bodies.
It's a short 10-minute program, so please check it out if you're interested.
Things like why we wear underwear,
why we might wet the bed,
that gender has nothing to do with your favorite color,
that families come in all shapes and sizes,
and that everyone has different things they like—
it explains various things
in a way that's easy for children to understand,
so even I, as an adult, am sometimes taken aback.
The episode titled "Where does this frustration come from?"
taught the importance of looking at your own feelings
and acknowledging them.
Recently,
the episode "Why don't I want to apologize?"
was very timely and resonated with my child's behavior,
which was great.
Precisely because it's made for children,
it conveys important things simply, clearly,
and directly,
so I find that adults can learn from it too while watching.
You shouldn't underestimate programs and movies for children.
I even teared up during an Anpanman movie, haha.
I think that knowing from childhood that you should cherish your own heart and body
is a very important thing
for living life.
And also knowing that everyone has their own individuality,
that everyone is different, and that's okay.
Of course, as a parent, I want to teach these things,
and I intend to teach them as the moments arise,
but it's difficult to explain them in an easy-to-understand way.
Because there are things I haven't mastered myself,
or things I've only just learned in the last few years.
Besides, it often happens that children
won't listen to what their parents say,
but will honestly accept what they've been taught outside, haha.
I love "I Love Me" for teaching my child important things
and giving me insights as well.
I plan to continue learning various things
from Me along with my child!
