Are you sure about the entry requirements? Here are the 'careless mistakes' I noticed after reading many submissions
The Sousaku Taisho 2024 deadline is less than a month away. Many works have already been submitted, and honestly, I am overwhelmed by how full of expressive power and individuality they all are (that sounds like a judge's comment, doesn't it?).
Even among them, some people have left me some lovely comments... May I share a few of them with you?
I felt it was a wonderful energy, writing that flows straight from the inside, capable of truly touching people's hearts.
It's a compelling read. I really do love writing that doesn't feel like a chore to read.
I received these lovely comments from Crystalulu-san, a fellow noter. The moment I saw them, I was so happy I almost cried.
I am a writer, and I have kept writing up to this point with the hope of making things as easy to read as possible for the audience. I wanted to create something that wouldn't cause any stress. That is exactly why I am so incredibly happy that what I have been striving for has been conveyed. I am so glad I started using note.
Crystalulu-san is entering the Essay category of the Sousaku Taisho 2024.
A letter written with care houses a god. This one sentence really struck me. Even though the culture of writing letters is fading now that mobile phones are widespread.
It made me think that maybe I should try writing a letter to a friend again. I hope you all will also take a moment to experience Crystalulu-san's gentle world.
Now, from here on out, I have a message for you all.
Every submission is wonderful, and I am impressed every time. However, there are a few things I have noticed after looking at several of them.
That is, there were more works than I imagined that did not meet the entry requirements.Just from what I saw, I feel like there were over 50 of them...
Even though the works themselves are wonderful, everyone!!!! It's such a waste!!!!
No matter how charming a work may be, it will not be eligible for judging if it does not meet the entry requirements. Since note has created a checklist, I recommend that you use it to check your work once.
Now, this time, I will introduce the most common mistakes I found while checking. Everyone, please check your work one more time.
1. Is your hashtag formatted incorrectly?
This was, by far, the most common one. I feel like there were many works that only had the 'Sousaku Taisho 2024' hashtag and were missing the category tag (such as Essay category, Romance Novel category, etc.).
I also recall seeing many where the specified tags were incorrect.
[Reference Example]
You want to enter the Essay category, but you only wrote "Essay"
The All-Category category is written as the All-Categories category
Two category tags are attached at the same time (e.g., both the Work Novel category and Romance Novel category tags are on the same article. According to official information, while there is no problem with submitting multiple works, a single work can only be submitted to one category).
I feel like I saw this the most. Please double-check how you attach your tags.

2. No synopsis
The Novel and Manga Original Story categories require a synopsis of 300 characters or less at the beginning of the first episode. Looking through them quickly, I feel like there were many works without a synopsis.
It is certainly difficult to write a synopsis, isn't it? However, if there is no synopsis, your work will be disqualified, so make sure to create one.
3. The character count exceeds the specified range
The synopsis must be 300 characters or less, so anything more than that will be rejected.
I recall there was someone who had over 1,000 characters just for the synopsis, so please check it once using a character counter or similar tool. When checking the character count from a mobile phone, you should be able to see the count if you select the synopsis section.

In addition to the synopsis, there are character count requirements depending on the category.
For example, for an essay, the limit is 10,000 characters. For the Manga Original Story category, the first episode must be within 10,000 characters, and the second and third episodes must be within 4,000 characters. (The conditions are different from novels, so be careful not to mix them up.)
4. Hashtags are not reflected
If the banner is not displayed at the bottom of the article when you include the "Creative Grand Prize 2024" hashtag, there is a high possibility that it is not registering correctly.
I don't know the exact reason, but please check if the banner is displayed at the bottom of your article.

If you are unsure about how to apply, it might be a good idea to check the "Frequently Asked Questions" page. Before submitting my work, I read through the application requirements and the FAQ page several times.
Since you put so much effort into your work, you don't want to have any regrets. It's a good idea to look through these points before the deadline.
