This time, as a home-visit rehabilitation staff member, I would like to introduce the senior cars I recommend.

The senior car I recommend most is the model called "C+walk S".

This is the sit-down type of C+walk. Some of you may have seen the stand-up type in parks or public facilities.

The biggest feature of this senior car is that it iseasy to operate with one hand. For this reason, I especially recommend it to those who find it difficult to drive a car due to hemiplegia or other conditions. Since the buttons are located on both the left and right sides, it can be driven regardless of whether the paralysis is on the left or right side. For those who can move around stably indoors but want to go further or go shopping, this C+walk S is extremely convenient.

Just the other day, I test-drove some senior cars. There were types that could be folded and loaded into a car. There were also relatively small senior cars that seemed easy to drive on narrow roads. I think those types of senior cars are also good for active seniors.

However, in home-visit rehabilitation, many people have reduced physical function due to illness, disability, or aging, so senior cars that are too compact can sometimes be unstable or difficult to operate.

In that respect, although the C+walk S is a three-wheeled type, it is relatively stable and can be operated with one hand. I think the general senior cars sold by SUZUKI are also good, but I feel that the C+walk S is more suitable for those who have a difference in strength between their left and right sides or who have difficulty operating with both hands. The C+walk S can also be used through long-term care insurance.

The C+walk S also comes with a monitor, and it was equipped with a feature that automatically slows the speed down to 2 km/h when approaching an obstacle, as well as an alarm. I was surprised by this as well.
