【Make This Year's Big Cleanup Smooth and Decisive!】 Just Throw Away These "Four Things" to Declutter Your Home! ── Unofficial Mikasa Shobo Online
Hello!
I'm a fifth-year editor at Mikasa Shobo!
December is here, and it's almost time for...
The big year-end cleanup!
This year has flown by, but how are your preparations for the big cleanup coming along?✨
◆ A New Idea Straight from a Minimalist!
Even if you suddenly think, "I'm going to throw things away!", you end upnot knowing where to start.😵💫😵💫 But,
"If you start worrying, you'll never get started!"
So, if you decide in advance,
"I'm going to throw away something ●●!"
it's amazing how quickly the decluttering progresses.😳
So, for "Unofficial Mikasa Shobo Online"! This time, we are introducing an idea from popular minimalist and blogger Fudeko-sensei called:
"Throwing away with Something 4"
💡
From her new book, "Is That Really Necessary?", which introduces tips on minimalism covering a wide range of topics from tidying up to housework, work styles, and relationships,
we are sending you an excerpt, or rather, the photos exactly as they are.✌️✨
◆ "Throwing away blue things" helped me let go of something I'd held onto for years──
What do you think?🙌 My favorite is the fourth one:
"Throw away blue things"
It is 😂 By now, it's not about something old, something new, something unused, or something you feel guilty about throwing away, but rather,
Throw away something blue!
It's innovative 😳😳 lol. But, when I actually looked around my house,
things I hadn't been able to throw away for years were
surprisingly blue 🟦
or something like that 😂 lol. With this mindset, I took the plunge and
decided to let go of a suit jacket
☺️
I had worn out the matching slacks (trousers) for this jacket, and it had been sleeping in the closet for over a year.
It wasn't particularly fancy, but it was expensive for me, so I couldn't bring myself to throw it away, thinking, "Maybe I'll use it again someday..." 😓 But,
by deciding to "throw away blue things!"
I finally found the resolve to discard it ☺️✨
If I had only used criteria like "throw away clothes I don't use" or "throw away things I don't need," I might not have been able to throw this jacket away 😳😳
A unique criterion like color
might have given me a new perspective 🙌✨
◆ Conclusion
Please try incorporating this "throw away with the Something Four" method and make this year's big cleanup a pleasant experience!
If you are interested in learning more, I would be happy if you could first check out Futsuko-sensei's new book at a bookstore ☺️
There is also a YouTube video where I talk about this in detail 😂 lol. I hope everyone's big cleanup goes smoothly ✨
