Ghibli Museum, Mitaka
I took a day off on a weekday this week and
went out to Tokyo with my daughter who lives with me😊
After taking the Shinkansen, local trains, and a bus,
we arrived in front of the museum just after 10 o'clock.
Since we had tickets for 11 o'clock,
we took a little walk to adjust our timing☺️

looked at it from the outside ((o(´∀`)o)) excited

We lined up 15 minutes early and were able to enter(*^^*)

Photography is prohibited inside the museum, so I don't have any photos, but
here is the lunch we both ate at the terrace seats👏

Fallen leaves drifted by on the breeze🍂

Since I was looking forward to having lunch here too,
we ate everything we wanted to try😋
I feel like Ghibli films helped me raise my children🙏
so
I often watched Ghibli films with them😆
Watching Totoro at 2 a.m. with my fussy daughter
is a nostalgic memory😅
I secretly left DVDs as a surprise
at my daughter's apartment when she first started living alone for college.
For my older daughter, Castle in the Sky,
for my younger daughter, Kiki's Delivery Service
My husband also likes Ghibli works,
and my daughter and he can recite the dialogue in great detail 😗
They know Princess Mononoke perfectly 😆
I don't remember the lines that well though 💦
While I'm at it, I'll reveal that
in our house, we call salt rice balls 'Haku's rice balls',
and we have a bowl we call the 'elegant bowl' 🤣
Every single exhibit in the museum was fun,
and we walked back and forth, taking our time,
looking at everything 😂
On the rooftop,
there is a Laputa robot soldier.

I couldn't help but hold my hand up to it ✋

And then, my daughter suddenly asked if it was still there.
I came here about 18 years ago,
when my daughter was in the lower grades of elementary school.
She felt like there was an object of the levitation stone from Laputa
back then.
We wandered around the grassy area for a while,
but we couldn't find it 👀
Being the middle-aged woman I am, I wanted an answer right away, so I thought I'd ask a staff member! 😅
I asked a staff member nearby,
and they smiled and said, 'Yes, it's still here.' 👍
They told me it was still there and pointed in that direction.
Deep down, I thought... 'Oh, I wish they had just taken us there'
and pointed and said, 'Here it is!' 💦
That's just the middle-aged woman in me talking.
My daughter and I went in that direction
and looked around at our feet again 👀
While searching and saying, 'It's probably around here, right!?'
I suddenly looked up
and the staff member from before was watching over us
from a little further away, smiling as if to say, 'It's around there!' (*^^*) 😂
'Found it‼️'

I took a picture and went back to the staff member 😊
There it was!
I'm so glad you found it👏, I thought.
I was somehow so moved😢
I felt a bit ashamed of myself for always being in such a rush😅
My daughter's memory from when she was little is amazing too😳
Ghibli works are amazing, but
the staff here are truly impressive as well💞
I had such a heartwarming experience
We spent three and a half hours at the Ghibli Museum,
which is said to take two hours,
and then headed home saying see you later~👋

All my travel plans from the spring are finished now☺️
Now I'll just work straight through until the end of the year~💨
Even though there are no bonuses for part-time work😣
I hope that next year
I can be healthy and go all sorts of places again✨
