[Improvised Poem of Gratitude] From a rebellious son

[Improvised Poem]
A project born from a live stream📝
Received "three topics" and a "worry" from viewers
And wrote this poem on the spot in 1 minute

"Kindness that couldn't be conveyed"

"Kitchen"

"The day I stopped being called by my name"

"The more I want to cherish someone, the less I seem to be able to do it well"

How much time has passed since the day
that child stopped calling me by my name?

I wonder if this is what they call the rebellious phase

He says things like "Hey!"
or refers to me as "you"

In the kitchen,
even without cutting onions,
tears keep spilling down

How long will this last?
This kind of life...

My husband is busy with his job at a foreign company,
so I can't talk to him about it...

When I asked my mother for advice,
she gave me an answer full of the wisdom of age,
saying, "Every child goes through a phase like that."

If I make the curry udon
with plenty of mentsuyu sauce
that he loves,
I wonder if he'll stop being rebellious...

Before long, the front door opened with a bang

His footsteps were heavy,
as if he were angry,
making my heart beat faster

"Hey"
He called out to me
with that same rebellious tone

Looking down so he wouldn't see that I had been crying,
I turned toward my son.

In my son's right hand
was a pink gift bag.

"Hey, thanks for everything.
They were selling these in front of the station, so I bought one."

After saying that,
my son rushed up the stairs
and headed to his room.

The kindness my son hadn't been able to convey
made me happy.

The tears of sadness
finally turned into tears of joy.
