[Self-Improvement Poem] 7:00 AM: The Fly, Me, and My Boyfriend

At 7:00 AM, I was feeling incredibly irritated.

Part of it was seeing him scrubbing the ketchup rice
that he ate for dinner yesterday
off my favorite white Supreme T-shirt over and over again.

But what was irritating me even more
was a single fly
buzzing around above my head.

It was meticulously
drawing a figure-eight...

What is this guy's problem...

I grabbed a badminton racket
that was near the bed,
and with my eyes narrowed to slits, I tracked the fly's movements.

Right,
left,
right,
and just when I thought it was going left...

Ahhh~!
Ughhh!

So annoying!

Ding-dong!

The intercom suddenly rang.

(Not now. The fly is my enemy...)

Then the lock clicked,
and the front door opened.

Is that Satoshi?
He used his spare key to get in.

Satoshi walked briskly into the living room,
sat down in a formal kneeling position with his thin white legs together,
and said this to me:

"Mika, I'm sorry about yesterday."

Satoshi's head was hanging low.

"Haa~"
I let out a deep sigh.

"It's fine. I'm not angry anymore."

Satoshi looked up.

And then,
a fly was about to land on Satoshi's right cheek.

"Ah... wait, don't move."

I brought my face close to Satoshi's.
Satoshi slowly closed his eyes.
It seems he thinks I'm going to give him a make-up kiss.

(It landed...!)

Ouch!😭

Satoshi collapsed onto the living room floor.

"Oh... sorry, Satoshi."

I stood frozen in the middle of the room.

The fly was gone, the anger was gone, and my boyfriend was lying on the floor.

It was somehow funny,
and only the sound of our laughter remained in the room.
