Web Magazine and a Little TV Appearance
I can't believe it's already the middle of October!
I hadn't really thought about the three-day weekend that included Sports Day last week, so I prepared a conservative lineup thinking it would be a rainy Sunday, but it sold out in a flash. Maybe it's because I've gotten used to the 'weekdays and weekends feel the same' vibe from the COVID era.
As long as I'm running a shop, I have to adapt to some extent.
At the beginning of September, I was approached by a web magazine called 'anna,' and it was published on October 15th. It seems they are going to synchronize this bread section of the site with the 'anna' TV program in the future, so I ended up getting a spot on TV as well. (It's a late-night show on Yomiuri TV.)
The filming for that is happening during this regular holiday.
Ever since I started the shop, for some reason, I've had the opportunity to be on TV almost every year, and I think I've been on almost every channel.
The biggest one among them was NHK's 'Today's Cooking.' I don't really get shaky hands or go blank, but the pressure comes from the fact that it is a live broadcast. Since you never know what might happen, I needed to 'be my usual self' to avoid attracting any negativity. So, I took care of my health, made sure not to forget anything, and kept telling myself, 'Be yourself! Be yourself!'
The appearance was six months after I got the offer, so during that time, I would remember it at random moments and think, 'Oh boy.' But on the day, I felt flat, and I was so much like my normal self that another part of me was smirking, thinking, 'Is this okay? Is it alright for such an ordinary person to be on TV?' Once it started, that enjoy my life spirit welled up, and by the time it was over, I even thought, 'What? It's already over? I want to do it again!'
About 10 years ago, I was also featured on a program called 'LIFE,' which is like a Kansai version of 'Jonetsu Tairiku.' Cameras followed me from early in the morning for about a week, and they even filmed me making bread without makeup and wearing glasses. Back then, too, while I thought, 'This is a hassle, I don't want to do this,' I got used to having a camera next to me at all times. Even though I initially found it annoying that the director kept asking me so many questions, by the end, I felt like, 'Ask me more! I want to talk more!' By the time it finished, I was almost in tears because I was sad to say goodbye.
After all, if it's a choice between the fool who dances and the fool who watches, I am definitely the fool who dances type.
So, that's why I'll be getting a little bit of filming done this time too, and I intend to just 'be myself.' After all, this is something I've attracted to myself.
