[Zentusho] I fell short by 0.x. Still, there was something that made me happy
"A deviation score of over 70 on the Zentusho"
I have made that one of my goals.
The National Unified Elementary School Student Test I took on 6/7.
The result was,
a 4-subject deviation score of 69.x.
Just 0.x away.
I didn't reach it.
(*The digits after the decimal point are hidden.)
It's frustrating.
I was so close.
In the previous class placement test, too,
if I had gotten just one more question right, I would have maintained S-class.
This time as well,
I was "just a little short of my goal."
But,there was something that made me happy this timeas well.
That is,
that my weakest subject, math, was my best.
My math deviation score was over 70,
and I set a personal best (lol).
Indeed,
I even got the final major question 7 correct.

And when I look at the question paper,
next to (3),
"kandayo!!"
is scribbled (lol).
When I find these kinds of notes or scribbles on the test,
it somehow comforts me.
Thinking that they were trying their hardest,
or wondering if they were feeling panicked.
Those kinds of moments come through.
The cause of my defeat this time was my strong subject, Japanese.
Japanese, which was 140 points last time,
was down 25 points this time.
I did well on the narrative passage,
but I lost points on the expository passage.
My daughter didn't seem to have the feeling that she "couldn't do" the expository passage.
Social studies didn't go as well as usual either.
But since the average score seemed low too,
that was a bit of a relief.
In the Waseda Academy SS1 class,
a deviation score of over 70 on the Zentusho is the norm.
That is precisely why,
the number 69.x is frustrating.
But,
I was genuinely happy that I got results in math, which I used to be bad at.
And this weekend is the class placement test.
If I don't get into the S-course,
it will be my first time dropping a class.
I want to get a deviation score of over 65 on the class placement test!!
I really want to clear this hurdle. My daughter is still at her own pace, but
today she is showing a bit of motivation, which is rare
.Not as much as me, though... lolThe class placement test is just around the corner.
Let's do our best together!!
