Poem.

To you, with whom I can no longer be, now that so much time has passed.

I met you ten years ago, and
it was love at first sight.

Since then, we both went through so much, but
in the end, we never ended up together.

I loved your scent,
I loved your gestures,
I loved your voice,
you were cute,
you were cool when you played sports,
you were a bit scatterbrained at times,
but you were reliable and got things done when it mattered,
anyway, you were so dear to me,
and I loved you so much.

Even now, ten years later, I have never
forgotten you even once.

I don't know how long this will last, but
I will cherish these feelings
of having been able to love you.

Because you were there,
I was able to fall in love,
I learned about bitterness,
and of course, there were happy times too.

I am sure I will never
feel this way about anyone else again.

More than that,
there is meaning in the fact that you existed.
