[Merry's Music Room] Introduction, Requests for Use, and Update Information

I am Merry, a former music teacher.

Thank you for always visiting "Merry's Music Room".

Three years have passed since I started publishing articles on note in 2020, and now many people are purchasing and subscribing to my articles.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all once again.

Now, as the number of articles has increased compared to when I first started, and more people are viewing them than ever before, I decided to create this article to summarize the introduction to "Merry's Music Room", requests for use, and update information.

It is a bit of a long read, but I hope you will take a moment to read it before viewing the articles in "Merry's Music Room".

What is "Merry's Music Room"?

"Merry's Music Room" is a note where I (Merry), a former junior high school music teacher, introduce methods for music classes and the work of music teachers, saying, "This is how I would do it!".

When I was a teacher, I was the only music teacher at my school, and I spent lonely days with no one to consult with. So, starting with the hope that I could be of help to those who, like my past self, are "troubled because they don't know what to do and have no role models around them", I began publishing the class handouts I used to use.

While the content may not apply to every teacher, I hope it will be of some reference.

・Features of the Lesson Examples

Since the most popular article category is lesson examples, let me introduce two features of the lesson examples published in "Merry's Music Room".

1. Understand concrete methods
While there are many lesson plans available on the internet and in books, due to the nature of lesson plans, they rarely include the teacher's specific methods or questions. However, I believe that
knowing when to do what and what to say to students is a key point in conducting a class. Therefore, I make sure to include examples of concrete methods in the lesson examples in "Merry's Music Room" that cannot be fully written in a standard lesson plan.

2. Learn about unpretentious, ordinary lessons
Many publicly available lesson plans are, I think, "lessons created to be shown to someone else" like research lessons. But what you want to know is
"a lesson you can do tomorrow", right? At least that was the case for me, so the lesson examples introduced in "Merry's Music Room" are
very ordinary lesson content. (Although some are based on content I did in research lessons, etc.) Therefore, the lesson materials that can be downloaded in the articles are not "things that took dozens of hours to create," but are designed to be simple and easy for anyone to edit. A major feature is that the content can be imitated by anyone immediately without the need for special preparation or practice.

・Downloadable Materials

Downloadable materials can be downloaded from the buttons below in each article.

The simplified lesson plans are Excel files, the worksheets are Word files, and the lesson slides are PowerPoint data, so please ensure that these software programs are installed on your PC before purchasing the articles.

・Article Updates

I believe that lessons are "living things," and even when I was a teacher, I used the reflections from the previous year to brush up on lesson content and materials every year.

Therefore, please note that articles published on note may be changed or updated, such as by significantly changing the content or material layout, adding new content, or deleting unnecessary items.

You may receive multiple update notifications, which might be inconvenient, but please check the new content and make use of the latest data.

Requests for using "Merry's Music Room"

The content in "Merry's Music Room" is based on what I learned when I was a teacher, but please understand that it has been several years since I left the teaching profession. (I have also included content on "what I would do if I were in your shoes now")

Also, I do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the content, so please be sure to check the content yourself before using it in class and use it at your own responsibility.

I have checked the articles and lesson materials many times, but if you notice anything such as "this is wrong" or "this is hard to understand," I would appreciate it if you could let me know.

Please note that while the content and downloadable materials of "Merry's Music Room" may be used freely in class, please refrain from using them for other purposes, or transferring, selling, or publishing them to others.

Regarding replies to inquiries

Since note does not have a messaging feature, if you contact me via the inquiry form, the only way I (Merry) can reply is by sending an email directly to the address provided in the inquiry form.

On rare occasions, my replies may be sorted into your spam folder, so if you find yourself thinking, "I haven't received a reply yet," please check your spam folder. (I am doing my best to reply within one or two days.)
