[IVF Record] 'Are the eggs growing?!' D10 Follow-up/Sugiyama Marunouchi (Egg Retrieval Cycle 2)
★3/30 (Mon) Today is D10.
I visited the clinic to check the growth of my eggs.
I think one of the benefits of Sugiyama is being able to choose your doctor, and this time I requested Dr. K again, just like last time.
[Regarding medication and injections up to D9]
I took my medication and did my injections as follows.
・Medication: Letrozole (D3-7/evening) and Lutoral (D7-10/morning and evening)
・Injections: Gonal 150 via self-injection 4 times (D3, 4, 6, 8)
This is what is called a mild ovarian stimulation method.
Depending on how I inserted the needle, there were times it hurt a little, but I was fine. If anything, I was worried about whether it was being injected properly.
I didn't have any major side effects and was able to spend my days as energetically as usual. (I think I had adrenaline going because I was busy working overtime until around 9 PM, haha)
I feel like I've gained weight, but I suspect it's just because I had plans to eat out and ate too much...
(On D8, I had a barbecue with my in-laws at lunch followed by Spanish food with friends, and on D9, I ate a ton at a cooking class)

•No blood pressure check, it was over quickly.
•I worked at a desk in the clinic until the blood test results came back (there were many others working as well, which I found encouraging)

•I can see about 10 eggs. It looks like many are around 14mm.
•Dr. K is the type who doesn't say anything during the ultrasound, so I just stared intently at the monitor. I was counting the number of eggs being measured.

•As seen on the monitor, about 10 are growing
•I want to grow the eggs to about 20mm, so I'm adding medication and injections
・Medication: Lutoral (D11, 12/morning and evening)
・Injections: Gonal 150 via self-injection 2 times (D10, 11)
•Egg retrieval will likely be around D14 or 15
•The egg retrieval date should be confirmed at the follow-up on 4/1 (D12)

•The consultation was over in just over an hour after checking in, and having early morning appointments is a lifesaver for someone who works...
•It seems 10 eggs were growing, so I'm hoping that about 3 good-grade fertilized eggs can be frozen...
•The next visit is 4/1, which is the start of the fiscal year, so I plan to book an afternoon slot next time
•I'm glad I haven't had any side effects from the medication and injections and am doing well so far. I might have gained a little weight 🐷
