[Report] In my 50s, I decided to give it a try, even if it was a long shot.

Today, I have a little announcement to share.

Actually, I have been given the opportunity to work on the production of an online course called the "Powerful Aging Academy" for women in the menopause generation, as part of a culture project.

The reason I applied for this project was very simple.

I wanted to deliver this message to more women.

That desire has been with me for a long time.

Until now, I have been sharing information about menopause and women's health from New York, while occasionally holding seminars and courses.

However, it has by no means been smooth sailing.

"How can I reach more women with this message?"

It was when I was thinking about things like that that I came across Mihiro Matsuda's culture project.

"Opportunities like this don't come around often."

That's what I thought.

But at the same time,

"Since it's Mihiro-san's project, there must be many people applying."

"Well, someone like me wouldn't stand a chance, right?"

To be honest, I had those feelings too.

Even so,

"It's a long shot. If I'm going to regret not doing it, I might as well try once."

That's what I thought when I applied.

Thankfully, I was selected for an Excellence Award, and I have been given the opportunity to turn this into a course.

But the real challenge started from here.

Giving shape to a course.

And, delivering that vision to those who need it.

Both are first-time experiences for me.

Sometimes things don't go as planned.

Sometimes I stop and think.

But every time that happens,

I think, 'How can I deliver this activity to those who need it?'

Thinking about that, I am moving forward one step at a time.

And, since I started working on this project, I realized one thing.

Rather than just creating a course,

it has become a time for me to organize what I have learned through trial and error over more than 20 years.

Struggling with dieting.

Experiencing an eating disorder.

The period when I struggled with being a woman.

Starting to learn about my body again because of menopause.

And, the women I met in New York who positively enjoy aging.

I thought each of these was a separate experience.

But now, they are starting to connect into a single line, little by little.

And when that line connected, there was something I felt strongly once again.

We are much harder on ourselves than we think.

Even when tired, I'd say, "I'm still okay."
Even when something felt off, I'd say, "It's probably just my imagination."
And in the end, I'd say, "Well, it's just my age, so it can't be helped."

That is how, before I knew it, I would overlook the small signs my body was sending me.

While reflecting on my experiences and what I have learned up to this point, I have come to think about the relationship between us and our bodies in a new light.

Next time, I would like to write a little more about this.

I would be happy if you could join me again, if you'd like.

Thank you for reading until the end.
Let's nurture the true strength of women together, and let's celebrate being women together!

You can take on challenges no matter how old you are!
Cheers🗽
