Production Background

The reason I decided to make "Munching Feast Time" was because,

I wanted to create background music that could be used when posting photos of food to SNS stories

I thought.

When you have delicious-looking food in front of you,

sometimes you just want to take a picture of it.Like when the presentation is beautiful.

Like steam rising from a dish.

Like cheese stretching out.

Like a dessert sparkling.

Including the excitement before eating, I want to capture that moment.

I think the reasons for taking photos,

"Look, doesn't this look delicious?"

the desire to share it with someone,

"I ate this today,"

and the desire to keep it as a memory, both exist.

So this time,

from the thrill before eating to the moment of savoring the last bite,

I packed the joy of a meal into a single song.

It's not that some grand story unfolds.

It's just eating what you love.

Thinking it's delicious.

Smiling.

It is a work that straightforwardly depicts that simple happiness.

About the title

The title "Mogu Mogu Feast Time" was chosen,

with the intention of immediately conveying the joy of having a meal in front of you.

The word "mogu mogu" (munch munch) feels like it encompasses

not just the act of eating,

but also the appearance of being absorbed in the taste and even a happy expression.

Also, the "feast" in this song

does not necessarily refer only to high-end cuisine.

It is whatever you felt like eating that day.

It is whatever makes you smile the moment you eat it.

It is whatever you want to give yourself as a reward for your hard work.

The favorite dish for each person
becomes their "feast" for that day.

I chose this title so that people could enjoy
the time spent eating itself as something a little special.

About the protagonist

The protagonist of this song

is a girl who loves to eat.

When she has food in front of her,
she first enjoys the look and the smell.

She finds herself wanting to take a picture,

and while she hesitates about where to start eating,
she already cannot stop smiling.

I have depicted a character
who can truly enjoy her mealtime like that.

However,

I have not decided on detailed settings,
such as her being a particularly big eater or being knowledgeable about cooking.

She is someone who, when faced with something she likes,

I portrayed her as that kind of approachable girl.

In this song,

I focused on creating an atmosphere like a warm and cozy cafe.

Gentle acoustic guitar.

Light, airy beats.

I centered it around calm and bright sounds,
that don't disturb the time spent enjoying a meal.

Rather than a song that is full of boisterous energy,

I aimed for a brightness that makes you feel naturally uplifted,
when you have a meal right in front of you.

I packed the lyrics with the various joys you feel when eating.

At the beginning,
I depict being hungry

not as a state where you have to endure something,

but as a signal that you are about to eat something delicious.

You think about what you want to eat.

You wait for the food to arrive.

even with those moments.

I expressed "my stomach is rumbling"
as a sign that happiness is approaching.

even though you haven't eaten yet,
your heart already starts to bounce.

In this part,

not just the moment you eat,

the sense of anticipation when the food is right in front of you

is what I am depicting.

there are times you want to take a picture.

The very reason for creating this song

was to make a song that could be used when posting photos of food to SNS,

I am expressing that kind of simple and honest happiness.

What I wanted to convey most with this song was,

That is a very simple feeling.

The sense of relief when you can take a breath.

When those things layer together, even your heart feels a little more full.

Even on a day when things didn't go well,

I don't mean that a meal has the power to solve everything.

It's just that,

I depict mealtime as something that adds a little bit of happiness to your day.

Taking photos involves,

a desire to share with someone, and a desire to keep it as a memory for yourself.

You cannot fully convey the taste or aroma of a dish through a photo.
