I tried video editing using both A.I.VOICE and VOICEPEAK
Good morning.
Nowadays, there are many speech synthesis software options besides VOICELOID. Zundamon, which you often see, is widely used via free software called VOICEBOX (commonly known as Voibo).
Now, Miyamai Moka, whom I have been using since my first video, is from VOICEPEAK (commonly known as Voicepeak), and Kotonoha Akane and Aoi, which I purchased the other day, are from speech synthesis software called A.I.VOICE (commonly known as Aibos).
Characters from different software generate voices in different editors.
In other words, while you can have Kotonoha Akane and Kotonoha Aoi interact within the same editor, creating a conversation between Kotonoha and Miyamai Moka requires opening two editing windows.
Voicepeak is characterized by an easy-to-read editing screen and good operability. However, I find it difficult to use because fine-tuned editing is hard, and the editing window size cannot be made smaller. It's friendly for beginners, but it feels a bit inflexible.
On the other hand, Aibos allows you to shrink the window, so it doesn't get in the way even when multiple editors and video editing software are open. The downside is that it's geared toward experts, and it felt difficult for me, as I'm used to Voicepeak.
The usability of the two is completely opposite.
The usability is as different as Windows and Linux.
The taste is as different as chicken and tuna.
They are as different as the sun and the ocean, or Savannah Takahashi and Savannah.
Even so, the video was completed, and my impression after posting one is this:
It is better to standardize your editors—that's all there is to it.
I was already going back and forth between the speech synthesis software and the video editing software, while also having image folders and search windows open, so I didn't have the capacity to use two different speech synthesis programs.
I want to increase the number of characters appearing in my videos from now on, but the process of selection has already begun.
I liked Miyamai Moka-chan, but I think I'll be making videos with the Kotonoha sisters from now on.
Good night.
