The Moon Swing
They say that somewhere in the night sky, there is a moon swing.
A golden rope tied to the tip of a crescent moon.
That swing is not meant for anyone to play on.
It is a place for rocking stories that have yet to be born.
Every time the moon sways gently, tiny grains of light spill out.
They are not stars.
They are the seeds of stories.
Within those seeds, various worlds lie sleeping.

A tale of dragons crossing the sky.
A secret ball of the fairies.
A kingdom sunken to the bottom of the sea.
A gentle story depicting someone's ordinary day.
However, those seeds do not bloom just by falling.
They reach those who draw pictures,
And they reach those who write stories.
Reaching the heart of someone who loves to daydream,
it sprouts for the very first time.
That is why the moon swing is swaying quietly again tonight.
So that as many stories as possible may be born.
So that as many "I wish there was a story like this" thoughts as possible can be found.

Perhaps the fantasy that just crossed your mind right now,
might just be a tiny seed that spilled from the moon swing.
