Easy Healthy Hummus - Quick Kitchen Wellness
Easy Healthy Hummus - Quick Kitchen Wellness
I once had hummus at a restaurant and it was delicious, so I used to make it at home by steaming dried chickpeas.
I was wondering if it was too much work to start from beans every time... when my husband bought me something called chickpea flour.
If I could make hummus with this, wouldn't it be easier to incorporate into our daily meals...? I thought,
so I tried making it from chickpea flour for the first time the other day.
⭐︎ The power of chickpeas from a medicinal perspective
Chickpeas are
an ingredient that "replenishes Qi and regulates the spleen."
When you are feeling tired or your digestion is weak,
they work gently to help you.
Using flour also makes it easier to digest,
which is another benefit as it doesn't put a strain on the body.
Ingredients
Chickpea flour 200g
Water 250cc
Garlic 2 cloves
Olive oil, a little
⭐︎ Cumin powder 2 tsp
⭐︎ Coriander powder 2 tsp
⭐︎ Lemon juice 2.5 tbsp
⭐︎ White sesame paste 2 tbsp
⭐︎ Salt and pepper, a little
Paprika powder
1. Heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic over low heat.
2. Blend the chickpea flour and water with a blender or food processor,
(← This is important! It's a little step to prevent lumps.)
Add to 1 and simmer slightly over low heat.
3. Once it becomes a paste, loosen it slightly and turn off the heat.
4. Add the ⭐︎ ingredients and mix well.
Serve in a bowl and sprinkle with paprika powder.
* By blending the chickpea flour and water well with a blender or food processor at the beginning, it is less likely to lump, making the rest easier.
* If you turn off the heat when it still seems a bit loose, it will reach the perfect consistency once it cools down.

is said to bring out the sweetness of the chickpeas.

For the finishing touch, make a well in the center, add olive oil, and top with spices like paprika and herbs to enhance the flavor.
It's convenient because it can be used in many ways, such as spreading it on crackers or bread instead of butter, or putting it in sandwiches with vegetables.
If you keep it on hand, it makes for a healthy side dish just by adding it to bread, vegetables, or meat dishes.
