A Morning Encounter with Kindness and Taiwanese Cuisine
A morning encounter with kindness
This morning, while commuting, I suddenly stopped in a park.
I noticed that
a scarf and hat had been placed on a statue of a girl.
The scarf was wrapped carefully, and the hat was placed on her head quite cutely.
A little while ago, during the Christmas season,
this park was beautifully decorated.
I don't live in this city; I just pass through it every day for work.
Even so,
every time I encounter scenes like this,
I feel the gentleness in the air of this city.
I think someone put them on her
thinking, "I hope you don't catch a cold."
Feeling the warmth, kindness,
sense of style, playfulness, and humor of this city
makes my heart feel warm.
Beyond just one's own home,
being able to touch upon "peace of mind" and "kindness," even for a moment, in the places we pass through,
might be one aspect of well-being.
Even if you don't live here,
even if you are just passing through,
it is a city where the warmth of people comes through.
It is a truly wonderful city.
Having such a place
on my daily commute, and being able to touch the atmosphere of this city
makes me very happy.
I love this city.
After work, I met up with my daughter and husband, and we went to a Taiwanese restaurant recommended by my daughter.
The congee had a deep flavor, and I could tell it was good for the body.

It contains medicinal ingredients like black wood ear mushrooms, century eggs, ginger, garlic, and celery.

The milk noodles, with plenty of pepper,
were also warming.
Both the Taiwanese congee and the milk noodles had a gentle, nourishing deliciousness.
I love Taiwanese food too.
The conversation flowed easily with my daughter joining in, and
even though it was a cold night, both my heart and body
felt very warmed.
