Thank you for your hard work today as well๐
Spring makes you want to get things moving, spurred on by the budding of life. Perhaps that's why I've been talking about life so much lately.
With the fluctuating temperatures, the mix of sun and rain, cold mornings and hot afternoonsโthose days of intense ups and downsโand perhaps because of the many events that left us feeling socially and mentally exhausted,my daughter has uncharacteristically fallen ill.
She's in the upper grades of elementary school now, so the time when I had to provide round-the-clock nursing care has passed, but a family member being unwell always causes a bit of a scramble. On top of that, we have our daily schedule, so the last two days have been quite hectic.
And my son is also feeling a bit dragged down by the season and the daily grind, and my husband has been so busy every day that he hasn't even been able to make it back to the nearby station before the last train.
For now, let's make today a day to "reset" everyone๐
So, today being Saturday, we had lessons scheduled, but I canceled them all and decided we would spend the day relaxing.
That said, if the kids just play games and the adults just stare at their phones, it might actually make us feel more down.
So, during the day, I took the kids to the sea.

The wind at the sea was quite strong.
While being buffeted by the wind, the tide was relatively low, so the children went down to the tidal flats to look for various things, throw stones, and hit things. They wandered around the tidal flats for a while as they pleased.
There was no one else around, so even if they threw stones or hit something with driftwood, it wouldn't bother anyone. Even if my middle-school-aged son acted a bit roughly, it wouldn't make much of a difference in front of the vast tidal flats and the sea.
In that time free from the eyes of others and rules, both children and adults moved around freely.
Just like when I was a child, I started following my curiosity, finding and catching live crabs and shellfish, and pulling dead hermit crabs out of their shells to observe them.

It was alive.
Then, perhaps because the wind had died down a little, kites, herons, and crows began to fly in the sky, and I watched them as they fought or circled together in pairs while rising, providing a play-by-play commentary on everything.
We walked a little way along the river path and watched for a while as the ducks swam along smoothly in a cute single file.
My daughter started saying her head felt a bit heavy, so we took a shortcut home.
While interacting with nature and living things, the children were as lively as they have been in a long time.
I want to continue to cherish the time we spend interacting with the natural environment at our own pace๐
Our family has our own pace.
It was a walk by the sea that confirmed that for us.

The contrast in color and texture between the soda-blue tableware and the bright red apple placed on the indigo fabric is beautiful...โจ I love pottery, so I can't help but want them๐
Thank you๐

Approaching my late 40s, I started this "writing radio" because I wanted to look back on my past, expand my future, and cheer someone up with my own story.
