Today, "Living with a Cat," published by Media Pal, has been released.

Perhaps because we are spending more time at home, the number of people welcoming pets seems to be increasing. Especially with cats, since they don't need to be walked, many people may find them easier to keep than dogs.

Whether you live alone or with others, pets are often left home alone during the day, so things might not feel that different in normal times. However, when it comes to emergencies, living alone requires more preparation since you cannot share the responsibilities. "Living with a Cat" is a guide for welcoming a cat and living happily together, while also considering the specific points to be aware of when living alone. It covers everything from how to find a cat that matches your personality and how to welcome them, to the necessities and precautions for daily life, as well as information on illnesses and old age. It includes not only the good parts but also the things you need to be prepared for, so I believe it is a book that helps both people and cats live happily while thinking seriously about what it means to live with a living creature. I also have a cat, and he will be 13 soon. He is a fine old gentleman cat.
Fortunately, he doesn't get sick very often, but his sleeping time has increased, and he doesn't climb to high places much anymore. The pressure when he demands food has increased, and there are times when I wonder if he's getting senile. He has become more clingy and is always sticking to people, which is cute, but it also makes me a little worried...

Since this is my first cat, this is also my first time experiencing his old age.
I think I am prepared for various things, but I will likely be shaken. Realistically, I wonder if I will be able to stay by his side properly if he needs nursing care. Although the environment has become easier for working from home, I worry that my company might not be as understanding as they would be for human care... I have various anxieties.
