Reflections from the Workplace: How I Found Relief from Worrying About Others
Hello!
Do you find yourself
worrying about the words and attitudes of those around you?
When you hear gossip or bad-mouthing about others,
how does it make you feel?
I work in a workplace with many women.
Every day, various words and events
fly around 😓
"That person said this."
"This person acted like that."
It is not rare to encounter situations where people are
finding fault with others
(it happens a lot 💦)
This time,
I want to write about how it is much easier to stay centered on yourself than to focus on the unpleasant parts of others!
I felt this, so I wanted to write it down.
I can almost hear you saying,
"I already know that."
I myself understood that, too.
As an introverted person,
I used to be very easily swayed by people's words and attitudes,
and I would often
feel down.
There was a time when I didn't just worry about attitudes,
but even walked on eggshells around others.
But at some point,
it stopped bothering me almost entirely.
Why?
When I think about it,
there were several things I naturally started keeping in mind.
✔️ I learned that when I am in a "good mood," reality starts to improve.
✔️ I wanted to fill myself with "comfort," so I started avoiding unnecessary things.
✔️ I started shifting my focus from "other people" to "my current self."
As a result, I think my focus
shifted from "others" to "myself"
over time.
So, let me organize my thoughts a little.
1. What happens when you are always looking for faults in others?

When you focus on people's flaws or failures, or take their words too seriously and
get drawn in,
your own consciousness is naturally
pulled in a negative directionas well.
It is drawn in.
This is because what you look at shapes your inner mind (subconscious).
2. Why do you worry about the people around you?
When you are concerned about others,
your consciousness is unconsciously directed "outward."
Evaluation, comparison, gossip, rumors...
Thinking that person is inferior to me,
or that person is being talked about like this by others...
When you try to gain a sense of security from your surroundings,
the words and actions of others become easier to worry about.
3. How can you stop worrying about those around you?
While it is impossible to block everything out,
you should adopt an attitude of "only accepting what is necessary for yourself."
It is important to return the focus of your consciousness
to your "inner self"
rather than to others.
If it's difficult,
try looking at yourself from a slightly higher perspective,
“bird's-eye view”.
Tell yourself,
“It's okay to forget about such small things!”
④ Only accept good words and events
Let negative information slide by,
and try to accept only the words
and events that made you happy.
With the right mindset,
you will gradually be able to do this.
This is not running away,
but a choice to protect your own heart.
⑤ What happens when you do that?
As you continue to do this,
I think your “self-axis”
will gradually grow.
You will stop being swayed by others' words and actions,
and become able to prioritize your own mood
and state of mind above all else.
When you do that,
you stop worrying about others,
and people you don't get along with will disappear,
and I felt much more at ease☺️
Not outward, but inward.

Even if it's hard to change your surroundings,
you can change where you direct your awareness.
Your own feelingsare more important than the outside world.
When you hear someone's words,
or when your heart is troubled by someone's attitude,
try asking yourself, “How am I feeling right now?”
“Is that really necessary?”
to yourself.
That habit might,
little by little,
help align your consciousness.
Comfort is the most important thing
It is okay if you do not change right away.
When you notice it,
you can just return to yourself.
It is like a habit.
Through repetition, little by little,
even if those around you are saying something,
it will stop getting to you.
Especially when you feel like you are being swayed,
focus your awareness on your inner self.
How are you now?
Are you feeling comfortable?
That accumulation
will surely help nurture your own core.
Thank you for reading ☺️
