My Fertility Treatment Diary | First Child Fertility Treatment (45) | Starting My First Embryo Transfer Cycle
I am posting this while looking back on my fertility treatment for my first child.
2021.6
Since my period started, I took a break and then
visited the clinic for the first time in a while.
First, I had an ultrasound to check my ovaries.
I still have the necklace sign, indicating polycystic ovaries.
But there was no ovarian swelling, so no problems there!
And then, the long-awaited results of the CD138 test!!
(It took 2 weeks for the results to arrive)
CD138 positive cells = 0 cells / 10 fields of view at 400x magnification
Surprisingly, there were no positive cells at all, so it was negative.
When I had the hysteroscopy, they pointed out some inflammation, but
it was not endometritis!!
I was curious, so I asked the doctor,
"What was that inflammation?"
They just said "Hmm," and told me that
if the CD138 test is negative, there shouldn't be any clinical issues!
I don't feel completely satisfied, but
since the doctor said I could start the transfer cycle,
I decided to begin my first transfer cycle!
After egg retrieval, I also got
two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, so I'm all set!!
Now all that's left is to prepare the uterine environment.
The first cycle after egg retrieval was a break cycle due to OHSS.
The second cycle after egg retrieval was right after changing jobs,
and due to the COVID-19 vaccine,
it was a hysteroscopy cycle!
In the end, two cycles passed after the egg retrieval!!
And for the transfer,
I started Estrana tape (to thicken the endometrium)
and also took Relumina tablets (to suppress ovulation) for 5 days.
So far, the Estrana tape hasn't caused any itching or peeling!
I felt like I finally moved forward!!
First of all, I hope I can safely make it to the transfer.
My next clinic visit is on D15.
I will have hormone blood tests and an endometrial measurement,
and the transfer date is scheduled to be decided.
According to the clinic's rules,
if the endometrium is not 7mm or thicker, the transfer will be canceled.
Of course, the same applies if the hormone levels are not good...
Please, endometrium, get thicker!!
Please, let the hormone levels be good!!
And
I hope I can get pregnant this cycle.
I hope I can be blessed with a healthy baby.
