Experiencing peace of mind by relying on others!
When I was in elementary school, I once worried deeply, wondering, "Why am I alive?" Is there any meaning to life?
But at the same time, I thought that my grandparents would surely be sad if I were gone.
So I decided to live.
Decades later, I, who find it hard to rely on others, suddenly decided to visit my grandparents' house. It's not that we have so much in common, but they welcomed me with an atmosphere of acceptance. I felt that it was okay for me to be there.
Later, I heard through someone else that they had said, "You can come back anytime." I was happy. I felt grateful and tears came to my eyes. I am happy to have a place where I can feel at ease.
I hadn't realized it until now, but my grandparents might be key figures for me.
It's hard to put into words, but the reason tears come is surely because I'm happy. A place that teaches me through experience that it's okay to be there, a place where it's okay to feel at ease—perhaps that's what I've wanted all along.
I tried to rely on others on purpose, doing something different than usual. I'm glad I gathered the courage to do it!
