"Blanched Lettuce" "Chinese-style Lettuce"
A variation on the "blanched lettuce" from the other day.
I encountered some magnificent lettuce, so I bought it 👛✨
I really wanted to make the recipe listed next to the "lettuce ohitashi".
Today I'm taking on a "Vegetables only?" recipe again ٩( ᐛ )و
It was super easy.
First, blanch it in water with oil and salt.
Once you pour over the "oil soy sauce" made from soy sauce, sesame oil, and pepper, it instantly becomes Chinese-style.

🎆Chinese-style Lettuce🎆
〚Ingredients〛(Serves 2)
Lettuce 1/2 head (400g)
Water 2 cups
Salt 1 tsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Oil Soy Sauce
﹂Soy sauce (3 tbsp)
Sesame oil (1 tbsp)
Pepper (a dash)
〚Preparation〛
For the oil soy sauce, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, and pepper in that order (A).
※Be sure to mix in this order
〚Instructions〛
① Cut the lettuce into quarters.
② Put water, salt, and oil in a pot, and when it boils, add the lettuce.
③ Blanch it for 1 minute, turning it over thoroughly so the whole thing becomes translucent, just like in the <How to make blanched lettuce> recipe.
Once boiled, drain in a colander.

but the taste doesn't change.
④ Cut ③ into bite-sized pieces, arrange on a plate, and pour A over it.

🌳
Now then.
I had errands this morning, so I tucked a millet flour nougat bar into my pouch and left the house without eating breakfast.
I got home at noon, made minestrone soup, and had a late lunch. I'll use the leftovers for soup pasta tonight.
