Fourth-year student Asako Yamabe takes on the challenge of pitching a feature film project at TIFFCOM!
A project development and pitching workshop, co-organized by Tokyo University of the Arts (TUA) and the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA), was held as a program to foster creative film creators capable of playing an active role on the international stage.
Students from Tokyo University of the Arts and other Japanese art universities (one from Musashino Art University, one from Nagoya University of the Arts and Sciences), as well as KAFA graduates and emerging film directors, were selected to engage in creative collaboration between Japan and Korea under the theme of "joint development of feature film projects." Asako Yamabe, a fourth-year student in the Department of Imaging Arts and Sciences at Musashino Art University, participated and took on the challenge of pitching in English! As a highlight of the program, the following pitching event was held.
Could this be the first step for young creators who will lead the film industry in Asia and the world in the future...?
