Why we chose to build with Hebel Haus.
The 'right answer for our home' found after wandering
'We want something stylish, but we also want to keep the budget down.'
That was the mindset with which we started building our home.
Before we knew it, two years had passed, and we had visited many builders and housing exhibitions.
To be honest, Hebel Haus was 'off the list' at first.
I felt it was a bit different from our personal taste, and
above all, I thought it was out of our reach.
Why did we, after two years of wandering, finally decide on Hebel? I will talk about the three deciding factors that moved us, as we realized there were things more important than just style.
01 | A home that protects our dog's 'place'
'If the worst happens, we can just go to an evacuation center.' We were optimistic about that somewhere, but it was a TV program that forced us to face reality.
What was shown was the harsh reality of disaster-stricken areas. It was a story about how shelters that were initially 'pet-friendly' later changed to 'no pets allowed' due to issues like barking or allergies.
'Even an evacuation center might not be a place for us.' 'How much stress would a change in environment cause our dog?'
When I thought about that, a strong sense of crisis welled up. Instead of spending an anxious life in a shelter while worrying about those around us, we wanted to be able to continue spending time with our dog in our usual home, just as always, even if an earthquake occurred.
We thought that was the 'best gift' we could give as owners. With the overwhelming strength of Hebel Haus, the house itself becomes the ultimate shelter. This conviction was the big first step that led us to decide on Hebel Haus, which had been off our list.

02 | The 'life after moving in' is the real start
At first, I thought, 'I want a stylish and affordable house.' However, after two years of searching for a home, what I learned at the Hebel Haus exhibition was a perspective we didn't have at the time: **'The real start is after you move in.'**
Of course, current design and price are important. But what we really had to think about was whether there was a guarantee that it would continue to support our family just as well 10, 30, and 60 years from now.
'Buying a house' is not just buying a box, but 'buying peace of mind that lasts a lifetime.'
The moment I felt that, our values changed completely. Rather than the cheapness of 'now,' it's about minimizing future repair risks and maintenance burdens, and being able to love it for a long time. This 'long-life peace of mind after moving in' was the second major deciding factor that put an end to our wandering.
03 | In the end, it's not 'what you build,' but 'who you build with'
The biggest purchase of our lives. The partner worthy of that was the overwhelming 'responsiveness' of the sales staff, who understood our thoughts and helped us shape them together.
Even now, whenever I see stories of failure or worries about building a home on social media, I realize once again their sincerity, thinking, 'Our representative would surely have thought of the best solution and stood by us.'
They never showed any annoyance at our wandering, consulted with us many times, and took their time until we were satisfied. As I experienced that attitude, I became convinced that 'I can trust the houses these people build.'
Building a home doesn't end with signing a contract. I believe that meeting professionals who were truly dedicated to our way of life is what ultimately led us to the "right answer for our home": Hebel Haus.
[An honest afterword]
After talking so passionately, I have to admit that when I looked into it calmly, Hebel Haus's "30-year (extendable to 60-year) warranty" was not actually that rare in the current housing manufacturer market. (Haha)
There are other manufacturers that offer maximum warranties, so in terms of specifications, Hebel wasn't the only top contender. (Haha)
Even so, we chose Hebel because we felt a sense of conviction that went beyond logic—a feeling that "I want to build a sense of security that will last for decades to come together with these people," which cannot be measured by numerical specifications alone.
Two years spent wandering in search of something "stylish and affordable." What we finally arrived at was an "unwavering daily life" built with our beloved dog, our family, and professionals we can trust.
