The Me of That Time, Pushed by My Oshi

I have been hospitalized several times in my life. During those times, I devoted myself to reading. Novels were my main choice, and I especially liked Keigo Higashino. Among them, I loved "The Devotion of Suspect X" so much that I could even visualize the book in my head.

I liked the book so much that I went to the movie theater to see the film adaptation that was playing at the time. There, I was drawn in by Masaharu Fukuyama's sparkling aura and became a fan.

Although I became a huge fan, at first I was just a casual fan who listened to his CDs and let my thoughts wander through the lyrics. However, one day I suddenly decided to go to a concert, made some fan friends, and that was my concert debut.

The concerts I attended were not limited to my local area in Kansai. I also traveled to Yokohama, Nagoya, and Hiroshima, attending over 20 concerts in total. It was about 10 years ago, when I was around 40, and I would leave my son in my husband's care and travel anywhere lightheartedly. Sometimes I would even go on road trips driven by friends. I remember always staying at the same hotel as my friends, and we would have parties at night, which was so much fun. Of course, I also went to concerts alone, enjoying them in a variety of ways.

Going on these trips was half-vacation, and not only did I let loose like a child to relieve stress, but I was also constantly recharging my energy. Thanks to that, I was always able to smile in front of my family, and when Fukuyama-san was on TV, my son and I would have a great time watching it together. My son often listened to the CDs of the artist I liked and watched the concert DVDs intently, so naturally, our parent-child conversations increased.
My son was very afraid of loud noises like those at karaoke, so I never took him to concerts. However, when I met my Fukuyama-san fan friends outside of concerts, I usually brought my son along, and everyone was very kind to him. I think my only child might have gotten bored talking only to me every day, and I was able to take a break myself, so it was a win-win situation.

My husband didn't seem to be happy about me going to concerts, but at the time, I felt like I had regained my youth, and I was so lively that every day was just incredibly fun.

My concert life came to an abrupt end when my father passed away. Now, I don't have an 'oshi' (favorite). However, when I think about it, my son and I have lively conversations every day about the results of Hanshin Tigers games.

Does that mean my current 'oshi' is the Hanshin Tigers? I never thought I would have an 'oshi' at this point in my life, but for me, an 'oshi' is a lubricant for daily life and a grateful presence that increases conversations with my son.

This was written on May 26th under the guidance of Henichi-san.

Henichi-san, I look forward to working with you again starting next month.

Let me share my 'oshi' story from back then!

If you're an otaku,
you definitely keep these, right!!

How many concerts I went to in such a short period of time.
The ticket stubs that prove it.
The tour logo from when I made my concert debut.

It was right around the time "Kazoku ni Narou yo" was popular.

Why did I like (or used to like) them?

What I liked most was the "music."

I actually prefer the songs that most people don't know.
I'll paste a few songs below.

The second reason is their "talk skills."

The chaotic, lively talk that was prominent on the radio (Masaharu Fukuyama's All Night Nippon Tamashii no Radio).

It's a shame there aren't many music shows now, but back in the day, they used to do all sorts of things on shows like "HEY! HEY! HEY!"

Some people might think of "erotic talk" when they hear the name Masha, but that's not the case at all.

He also says things that are extremely sensible.
(There were often times when I thought he was being too sensible for me to keep up with.)

However, the sudden marriage announcement...

No, it wasn't particularly sudden.

There were rumors about him and his current wife, as well as others.

And then, my father's sudden death...

It felt as if I was being told it was time to stop.

It was here that Ideveloped a condition called social anxiety disorder.

Perhaps it would be easier to understand if I called it "anthropophobia".

Going to concerts was absolutely impossible.

And so, my love for Masha came to an end.

The struggle of securing concert tickets

Collecting so much merchandise

The time I spent traveling with Masha-friends

Buying almost every magazine

Buying both the limited and regular editions whenever a CD was released

And on top of that, I was also going to B'z and Fumiya Fujii concerts

Spending money was a blast. It's a stain on my past, a dark history.

These aren't the only songs I like.

But for now, please enjoy these five songs.

What on earth is this story about?

I ended up adding a bonus to this article after all that effort.

But that's all in the past.

My current favorites are the Hanshin Tigers and handsome volleyball players~🐯🏐
