[April 22] Healing through the eyes
Good evening.
Today, I would like to shift our perspective a little and talk about the power of the "colors" that plants possess.
Simply gazing at the "blue" or "deep green" of plants can calm overstimulated nerves.
• "Coolness" taken in through the eyes
When you are exhausted and feeling anxious, instead of looking at bright red flowers, try gazing at lush, deep green plants or those with bluish leaves (such as Muscari, which blooms with blue-purple flowers, or Eucalyptus, which has blue-gray leaves).
• Deep breathing brought about by "blue"
The color "blue" has the effect of stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system and calming the heart rate. By taking in the cool colors of plants from the back of your heated eyes, the excess "heat" in your body may be cooled down, and the flow of your energy (qi) may become smoother.
• Don't focus, just gaze
Try simply casting your gaze upon a Philodendron in your room or a plant by the window. You don't need to observe the shape or veins of the leaves in detail; just vaguely feeling the spread of their "color" is enough.
• "Touching" for further calming
If possible, try gently touching those cool-colored leaves with your fingertips. The slightly cool texture of the living plant, combined with its deep, calm colors, will quietly heal the brain that has been heated up by digital work during the day.
Tonight, while being healed by plants, please let your own heart cool down slowly as well.
Good night.
Today's quick note 🌿
For those who say, "I don't have any blue plants in my room!", it is perfectly fine to just place a single sprig of lush green leaves into a blue glass bottle. The combination of light passing through the glass and the green acts like a "mental compress," slowly and steadily delivering spiritual moisture to you.
