The more you take on, the more you lose sight of yourself
"I don't know who I am."
There are truly many people in their 40s and 50s who say that.
But I believe that behind those words,
lies a life where you have worked so hard that you lost sight of yourself.
As a mother.
As a wife.
As someone in a position of responsibility at work.
Prioritizing those around you,
meeting expectations,
living life thinking you have to do things properly.
Before you know it, you start prioritizing "what others will think"
over your own feelings.
Even though you are actually tired,
you cannot complain.
Even though you are actually suffering,
you force a smile.

When you spend a long time living like that,
you gradually stop knowing who "you" are.
That is why you feel anxious.
"I feel like things can't go on like this."
"I have to start something."
"I have to become someone."
Thinking that, you get certifications.
Counselor.
Coach.
Therapist.
Psychology-related qualifications.
You feel relieved while you are studying.
But after you get them, you cannot move forward.

This is because,
you are often getting certifications not because it is "what you really want to do,"
but "to fill the void of your anxiety."
Wanting to hide the "self that lacks confidence,"
not wanting to feel the "self that has no value,"
you try to add more titles.
But in reality, it is not about the number of certifications.
What do you feel,
and how do you want to live?
If that part is left behind,
no matter how many certifications you add, you will only feel more distressed.
I myself was once
desperate to "become someone."
But what I truly needed
was not a new certification,
but "to know my own true feelings."

Things that made you sad.
Things that made you feel lonely.
Things you had to endure.
Even if you try to move forward without looking at those things,
your heart will not follow.
That is why, right now,
for those who feel like they "don't know themselves,"
you don't have to force yourself to become someone.
First,
I want you to listen to the voice of your "true self"
that you have left behind for so long.
Because what changes your life
is not a title,
but regaining your connection with yourself.
