Life changes not by 'whether you can,' but by 'whether you do'
"Don't decide based on whether you can or cannot, but on whether you will or will not."
When I was 30, my boss said this to me, and it still continues to push me forward today. That was the first time I realized that I had been unconsciously deciding that things were impossible for me.
"I can't do it because I have no experience," "I can't do it because I lack confidence."
While repeating such excuses, I was actually just afraid to take on the challenge.
I was deciding the outcome before even trying, putting a lid on my own potential.
But ever since I encountered these words, "whether I can do it" is no longer my criteria for judgment. I started acting by thinking only about whether I will do it or not.
The first step was scary.
Even so, when I tried, things started moving in a mysterious way.
Small successes led to confidence, and even failures became the strength to move forward as experience.
When your actions change, your way of thinking changes.
When your way of thinking changes, the very world you see changes.
Everything started from the moment I decided to "do it."
What is important is to notice the habits of your own thinking.
Behind the decision that something is "impossible," there is always fear or anxiety.
But if you notice that, you are already prepared to take one more step forward.
Will you do it or not?
You are the one who chooses.
Excuses and limitations are nothing more than things you create yourself.
That is precisely why the step you take has power.
Life begins to move from the moment you decide to do it.
