Trying to loosen the 'I must do things properly' mindset just a little
Hello. I am Masahiro Kato, a life coach.
Thank you for reading this article.
Especially when things aren't going well,
you might feel anxious, thinking,
'I must do things properly.'
When you can't push yourself, you might even corner yourself by thinking,
'I need to be more reliable,'
or 'I have to do this properly.'
However, when you can't push yourself or things aren't going well, that in itself is already a difficult time.
If you keep forcing yourself during times like that, your heart may gradually wear down.
That is precisely why you should try to
loosen the 'I must do things properly' mindset
just a little.
It is okay to have days when you cannot do things properly.
It is okay to have periods when things do not go well.
That is not giving up; it might just be adjusting your effort a little to suit your current self.
And I believe that your worth does not change based on whether or not you can do things properly.
Even if there are days when you cannot do things, or days when you are too tired to move,
your value does not disappear.
Instead of trying to do everything perfectly and properly, do what you can within a range that feels comfortable for your current self.
That might just be the right amount, don't you think?
