From Knowledge to Action
From Knowledge to Action
I have reconsidered the significant difference that exists between "gaining knowledge" and "taking action."
1️⃣ Action produces results
Gaining knowledge alone changes nothing. It is said that no matter how wonderful a book you read or how many seminars you attend, change only occurs when you actually take action. I believe that successful people naturally study and take action.
In today's society, which is overflowing with information, gaining knowledge is relatively easy. However, perhaps surprisingly few people translate that knowledge into actual action. Action is the key that brings true change to our lives.
2️⃣ The power of imagery to encourage action
It is said that concrete imagery is important for taking action.
1. What will be gained from this action
2. How will I feel when I achieve the result
3. What will I look like after taking the action
The clearer this image becomes, the higher the motivation for action will be. Conversely, it is said that if you only have a vague image, it is difficult to move toward action.
3️⃣ The value of "immediate execution"
We tend to end up just being impressed or convinced, saying "That's good" or "I see." However, what is truly important is to "execute immediately." It is said that by taking a small step the moment you gain an insight, that knowledge becomes your own.
Through daily action plans, I learned the importance of accumulating small actions. In particular, it is said that by believing in your own potential and taking action, you can sometimes achieve results beyond your expectations.
4️⃣ Looking ahead
I will strive not to end with "collecting knowledge," but to immediately translate the insights I gain into action. I feel it is important to regularly look back on past learning, find points that I have not yet put into action, and practice them one by one.
Life is a precious time given to us equally. To make the most of this limited time, I want to cherish my small daily actions.
I will not only gain knowledge but also acquire the habit of "immediate execution." To expand new possibilities.
[Today's Diary] 2025.04.11
I had an early shift today. When I have an early shift, I tend to be sleep-deprived. If I'm not careful, I tend to doze off right after eating 😃
Tomorrow, an even earlier shift, the earliest one, is waiting for me. I want to get myself pumped up and do my best 💨
Tomorrow, April 12th, is the anniversary of my mother's death.
I am planning to visit her grave at a later date, but tomorrow I will put my hands together in prayer at our family altar.
I personally do not believe in the afterlife or the concept of reincarnation, but strangely, I have a feeling that the souls of my ancestors, who have departed from me, are watching over me. There have been many moments in my life so far where I felt, "I was protected at that time." I feel a sense of heartfelt gratitude toward such invisible forces.
Tomorrow looks like it will be busy, but I want to spend the day without forgetting my gratitude to my mother. Thank you, and thank you for always watching over me.
