I'm Kyoko Maru, a writer.
I have achieved 100 consecutive days of posting on note.

In this post, I will write about my thoughts on posting for 100 days. I experienced some quite happy changes, so if you are thinking about taking on this challenge, please feel free to use this as a reference.
The Path to 100 Days of note Posting
I wrote about why I decided to try posting for 100 days in this article. I also wrote about the period when I wanted to quit, wondering what the point of posting was.
Here is an article from around the time I passed the 60-day mark.
There were days when I had so much I wanted to write that I posted multiple articles in a single day.
Although I tried that, I felt it was easier to keep going if I established a pace, so I have ended up sticking to one article per day for now.
Changes Resulting from 100 Days of note Posting
After continuing to post for 100 days, I experienced the following changes.
I became able to express my thoughts into words more smoothly
My writing speed increased
My number of followers increased
I started receiving more comments
My own desires became clearer
I received requests for bylined articles
I will write down the details for each.
I became able to express my thoughts into words more smoothly
Since my original goal was to be able to put my thoughts into words, I have achieved my initial objective.
Now, I can write as if the words are falling from the sky.
I should have been writing that way originally, but I had forgotten how to do so because I was too caught up in writing rules. These 100 days of updates helped me remember that.
Writing speed increased
Since I no longer struggle to put my thoughts into words, my writing speed has increased.
If it is an article I can write freely, I can write two in a few hours in the morning.
Therefore, I have become able to balance writing what I like with my work. It is so fun that I end up writing all the time, so I need to be careful about that, but...
Followers increased
Every time I write, someone follows me, so my followers have increased. I am very grateful for that.
When it comes to 100 days of updates, I end up writing about things that pop into my head without overthinking the theme.
Thanks to not being tied to a specific genre, I have started to be followed by people from various fields.
Just because I am a writer, it does not mean I only have to write about writing.
In fact, I thought that by writing about things unrelated to writing, I could connect with people from other genres, which might expand the scope of my work just like participating in a cross-industry networking event.
Received more comments
Previously, I almost never received comments.
Recently, I have had more opportunities to receive comments, and I am truly happy about that.
I also wrote about the joy of my articles reaching someone in this article.
I want to continue writing articles that are true to myself and reach someone.
My desires became clear
Actually, this might be the biggest change.
I want to write what I want to write.
I do not know if I can make a living doing that.
But this honest desire became clear by continuing to update.
Not only did it become clear, but the following changes actually occurred.
I received a request for a bylined article.
When I thought about how I wanted to write what I wanted to write, I actually received a bylined job offer.
【Maru Kyoko's XX Column】, a monthly series.
I was so happy I could jump for joy.
The answer to what I had hoped for arrived.
It's okay for me to write what I want to write.
It was an offer that seemed to encourage me, just when I was wondering if I could really do this.
100 days of posting is full of good things
So, my 100 days of posting were full of good things.
I highly recommend everyone try it too!
I think it's better to set a goal for why you are doing it beforehand. That way, it's easier to continue, and you gain more from it.
By the way, the increase in likes and follows is also thanks to the membership I participate in. I made sure my 100 days of posts were published in the membership magazine every day, and I also posted daily on the bulletin board where participants can comment.
These kinds of steady efforts are worth valuing if you want to achieve greater results. I will write about this in another article as well.
Thank you for reading.
*I think note is a very good platform for sharing your thoughts and experiences. On the other hand, there is also the option of taking it a step further and having your own blog.
Creating a WordPress blog allows you to build up articles as your own assets, which can broaden the scope of your writing activities.
If you are going to start a WordPress blog, using a rental server like ConoHa WING makes it relatively easy to set up, even for beginners.
