[Released 3/27] What are you watching this weekend? A must-check 'Top 3 Recommendations!' ~From the fate of demons and the heartbeat of dreams to the bonds between parent and child. The top 3 masterpieces you must witness at this spring milestone~
Hello, this is Maamin🐧
It is finally the last week of March. News of cherry blossoms has started to arrive, and the city is being dyed in the colors of spring. In this season where expectations for a new life and a little anxiety are mixed, why not refresh your heart at the movie theater?
From the new releases coming out tomorrow, March 27th, I would like to introduce three films that I am so excited about that I think, 'You absolutely cannot miss these!', and that you should witness in the theater♪
1. 'The Demon's Bride'
A hugely popular novel is finally appearing on the screen as a live-action film! In a world where humans and spirits coexist, the protagonist is chosen as the fated bride of a 'demon' who possesses immense power. The charm of this work is, above all, its overwhelming visual beauty. The fantastical scenery of the spirit world, the gorgeous costumes, and above all, the weight of the word 'fate'... By watching it on the big screen in a theater, it seems like you will be able to fully immerse yourself in that worldview. How will a lonely girl change through her encounter with a demon? I want to watch those delicate movements of her heart carefully in the silence of the theater.
2. 'Street Kingdom: Play Your Own Sound.'
Next is a work full of energy that will make you want to tap along to the rhythm as you watch. The stage is a lively street. It depicts young people who, while believing in their own music, clash with reality and struggle to find their 'own unique sound.' In this film, 'sound' is the protagonist. The experience of 'bathing' in the live music they play using the theater's high-quality sound system should feel just like being at a live concert venue! It looks like it will be a work that gently pushes the backs of everyone chasing their dreams, and I'm looking forward to it!
3. '90 Meters'
The last one I'd like to introduce is the one you should watch most right now. Yu, a high school student who was devoted to basketball, is about to give up his favorite sport and even his own dreams to support his mother, Misaki, who has an intractable disease. What pulls him back to reality is the sound of the call chime that is always at hand. 'Maybe this caregiving will last a lifetime...' Amidst that loneliness with no exit, he finds a new hope: going to university. This work does not just depict the 'hardships of caregiving.' It is the real cry of a young carer, swaying between the wish to live their own life and the sense of responsibility to protect a loved one. The straightforward and delicate acting of Soma Santoki and the figure of Miho Kanno, filled with maternal love as she tells him, 'You can do whatever you like,' because she cares for her son. When he receives those words, what will Yu choose, and which path will he start walking down? What does the distance of '90 meters' mean...? I want to receive this warm yet powerful story, which gives us the courage to face our own lives before the new season, in the silence of the theater.
How was it? Which world do you want to go experience this weekend?
I hope to spend a weekend full of movies, fitting for the end of March, but since it's a busy weekend, I'm still thinking about which one to watch first♪
Before the new season begins, I hope you all encounter a wonderful film that will leave a deep impression on your hearts.
Well then, have a wonderful movie life♪
See you later👋
