What is Pollo Agent? What can it do? A new form of video creation I discovered by actually using it [PR]

Once again, this is a PR article written in collaboration with Pollo AI.

Pollo AI released a new feature called Pollo Agent on Friday, March 6th🙌

Originally, Pollo AI was gaining attention as a tool for trying out a wide range of image and video generation, but this new Pollo Agent is a particularly intriguing feature.

This is because it moves beyond the traditional flow of
entering settings, generating, and redoing if it's not quite right...
and instead
seems likely to make the actual process of video creation much easier to navigate.

So, in this article, I will gently break down what Pollo Agent is, and I've also tried generating a video using my own character.
Let's dive right into the explanation!

📷 What is Pollo AI anyway?

Pollo AI is an AI creative tool that handles both image and video generation in one place.

For example, you can try various creation methods within a single service, such as creating videos from text, creating videos based on images, or using reference images to match a specific mood.

In a nutshell, I think the image of a
comprehensive tool for creating images and videos with AI is quite accurate.

Moreover, a key feature is that it's easy to try out multiple models and generation methods, rather than being limited to just one way of creating.

It feels less like a tool just for making a single video, and more like a foundation where you can experiment with various aspects of production.

I think this is a great fit for both content creators and professionals working in creative fields.

🤖 What is Pollo Agent?

The Pollo Agent released this time is a new video generation feature available within Pollo AI.

The big difference here is that it deviates from the traditional flow of deciding every detail from the start and finishing with a single generation attempt.

Pollo Agent can be seen as a feature geared toward making it easier to progress through video creation while having a conversation.

While traditional video generation is certainly convenient, it often tends to follow a flow of
first thinking of a prompt, choosing settings, trying to generate, and if it doesn't work, fixing it...
and so on.

This is fine if you're used to it, but otherwise,
it's often quite difficult to know what to fix and how
as well.

In that regard, Pollo Agent gives the impression that it is easier to approach based on your goals.

Instead of having to perfect a detailed prompt from the start, you can start by simply saying
what kind of video you want to make.

I felt this was a significant difference.

⚙️ Pollo Agent - What can it do?

Pollo Agent offers several modes tailored to different purposes.

You can choose your entry point based on
what kind of video you want to create.

For example, Viral Video seems suitable for creating short, eye-catching viral-style videos.

UGC Ads is for UGC-style ad videos that feel like natural recommendations.

News Video is for news-style,
Music Video is for MV-style, and Story Video is for videos with a narrative, that's the general idea.

What's even more interesting is the approach of using TikTok or YouTube links as a starting point, referencing their hooks and structures to guide the process.

This was a point I was quite curious about.

🔥 Viral Video is what I tried out!

After all, there are many things you can't understand just from feature descriptions, so it's fastest to see while actually using it.

I tried it with Viral Video

Let's make a video of a scene like this.

First, from the menu on the left of Pollo AI, select 'AI Agent'.

Pollo AI From the items displayed at the bottom of the screen, I selected Viral Video. With this, I can proceed in Viral Video mode. Since I wanted a vertical video for smartphones this time, I'll set the aspect ratio to
9:16.

Press '+' and upload the following cartoon-style character image of Haru.

After that, enter the following prompt for video generation into the chat window.

Then, press the "↑" button.

The screen will then switch, and a chat screen with the Viral Video Maker will be displayed.
Here, it will suggest what kind of video to make based on the image you uploaded and the prompt you entered earlier.

This time, a 12-second video was recommended, so I will proceed according to that suggestion. I gave the go-ahead👇

Then, the Viral Video Maker will analyze the materials again and suggest a video generation plan. Let's proceed with that proposal this time!

After that, surprisingly... the Viral Video Maker searched for videos that could serve as a reference and suggested them as recommendations.
I will proceed based on those recommendations.

And then, the Viral Video Maker analyzed the reference video from earlier, and based on its structure and flow, it optimized it to fit the Haru-Cola specifications I want to create this time. I gave the instruction to generate based on that proposal!

Once the generation instruction is given, generation begins!

Until now, when making a commercial video, I had a strong impression of generating it scene by scene, but Pollo Agent impressed me by assembling the flow all at once from start to finish.
This was a point that really surprised me.

If it can be made all at once like this, it seems like it will be easier to mass-produce videos.

💻 What I felt after actually using it

What I felt after actually using it was that Pollo Agent has a strength in making the video creation process easier rather than just making the video itself.

Until now, the basic flow was to first prepare a still image as the basis for the video, then create a prompt for the video, and then generate it in one go based on that prompt.
Because of this, it was not uncommon to have to redo it many times because it didn't turn out as expected.

On the other hand, the big difference with Pollo Agent is that you can proceed with video generation while chatting.

Since you can align the image you want to create with the AI as you go, it's easier to get closer to the finished image, and another big appeal was that it's easy to correct the direction before generating the video at the stage where you think something is a little off!👀✨

What was even more impressive was that it searches for images of viral videos and suggests them after analyzing them.

The experience of not just making a video, but also having it bring you a template you can use as a reference, was quite fresh.

Even after actually trying it out, I feel its strength lies in

making it easier to advance video creation while determining the direction, rather than producing a perfect video on the first try.

Even if generative AI for video looks convenient, there are times when you get stuck because you don't know what or how to create something. In that regard, I felt significant potential in

Pollo Agent as a feature that reduces those moments of getting stuck.

I think it is a feature that is a very good match for such people.
