MiniMax H3 I tried "morphing" | Instead of leaving the movement to the AI, I design the behavior
The title of the video I created this time is "No Meaning"
As the name suggests, I intentionally didn't give this work any clear meaning.
Instead of trying to understand something or follow a story,
I want you to clear your head and just enjoy the video itself as shapes and colors change one after another.
That was the feeling I had while creating it.
What I mainly tested this time was
MiniMax H3 using morphing expressions(,,•ω•,,)و✨
It really was an amazing model!
I can see why it's the talk of the town(๑º﹃º๑)drool🌸
However, I wasn't able to get it right from the start💦
I trained it so much!!!😂
If anything,
💭"It's kind of slow..."
💭"Not enough movement..."
💭"Can this even be called morphing...?"
It was a series of trial and error(￣▽￣;)💦
As I generated more and more,
I gradually started to see how to give instructions to H3👀✨
This time, I'll introduce not just the finished work, but also!
what I learned from actually testing it and the points where I failed(=ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ💻✨

"No Meaning"
You don't need to look for meaning.
Just watch and feel it.
With your own sensibility...
This time as well, I used "Image-to-Video" to generate it(｀･ω･´)ゞ✨🌸
First of all, what is "morphing"?
There's no need to overthink it∑d(d´∀`*)good✨‼‼
Simply put,
an expression where one shape changes into another without interruption
In this production, for example, I tried these kinds of transitions📝
Flower → melts → becomes liquid → mixes with other liquids
Chain → thin line → vine → becomes fabric
Scattered paper → gathers → joins → folds into a heart
I've created many movements like what was A changes its motion and transforms into B
(｀・ω・´)✨
What was important here is that it's not
A disappears and B appears.
If a liquid suddenly appeared after a flower disappeared,
that would be closer to a scene cut.
Instead, the petals themselves soften and crumble,
and that substance turns into liquid.
By showing this in-between state, it becomes a video that feels like true morphing (*>ω<)b✨💗
At first, I only thought about "making it move"
In the first video I made,
🎥 "Spinning around"
🎥 "Dripping liquid"
🎥 "Stretching and shrinking haze"
I focused on instructions like these (￣▽￣;)💦
Of course, it does move.
But when I look at the finished product,
it's just repeating the same movement in the same place (´;ω;｀)
Plus, the movement is lacking and slow...
This certainly moves, but it was a little different from the
"video where shapes change one after another"that I wanted to create.
So, I changed my way of thinking ( ; -ω-)aﾞ...
Designing "behavior" instead of "movement"
This was the biggest discovery in this production!
I watched tons of videos by skilled creators on X to see if there were any hints written... (｡-ω-)……Aha! Σ(,,ºΔº,,*)💡
Partway through, I started
"behavioral design"
as the approach for creating my prompts.
For example,
Please melt the flower.
Don't just end it there.
The outline of the petals gradually crumbles and begins to melt softly. The melted petals turn into liquid and flow downward, mixing with the liquid melted from the neighboring flower.
Do it like that.
I always use natural context prompts✨
In other words,
1. What moves? -> 2. How does it change? -> 3. What does the changed object do next?
Connect it all the way through!
The point is behavioral design (o´・ω-)b💡
Just this alone has significantly changed how I think about video🌸

For 8 seconds, accurately maintain the 2D illustration style of the original image. In this production, I also changed the duration according to the content.
Short duration for just short, strong changes.
A bit longer if you want to change multiple substances continuously.
And, after trying it several times, personally, I felt that
"around 8 seconds is easier to handle" for complex morphing
(๑•̀᎑<๑)و✨💗
If it's too short, it can't finish the change (；´･ω･)
Conversely, if it's too long, it might start repeating the same movements halfway through💦
Of course, it depends on the content, but
it's interesting to think about how many seconds the video should be as part of the morphing design

But as I kept experimenting,

But that doesn't mean I wasn't thinking about anything.
