"How Happy I Am" (From "The Mind's Compass" by Ryuho Okawa)

Thank you so much for always taking the time to read my articles.

In my articles, I introduce recommended works from the lectures and books of Master Ryuho Okawa.

This time, I would like to introduce The Mind's Compass, "How Happy I Am"!

Master Ryuho Okawa contributed a poem called "The Mind's Compass" to a monthly magazine every month, and each piece is filled with deep meaning within simple words, offering insights for the heart every time you read them.

I would like you all to experience the world of "The Mind's Compass," so I introduce them from time to time.

So, today, I present this to you all with feelings of gratitude.

"How Happy I Am"

How happy I am.

To be able to see things with both eyes,

To be able to hear sounds with both ears,

To be able to lift things with both hands,

And to be able to walk with both feet.

Even if offered hundreds of millions of yen,

I doubt anyone would want to sell those rights.

How happy I am.

To be able to breathe with my lungs without thinking,

To have my heart beat without resting for even a minute,

And to have my digestive system process food.

To be able to think with my brain,

And even be able to store memories,

Isn't it wonderful?

To be able to convey one's will through words,

is it not like magic?

Ah, how happy I am.

To be able to read books,

to be able to enjoy music,

to be able to watch television,

and what's more, to even have a family.

It is wonderful to be able to live.

It is wonderful that there is today, and that there is tomorrow.

Life is very sweet and beautiful.

(From "The Mind's Compass" by Ryuho Okawa)

[Impressions/Realizations]

Today, I...

I was able to see a beautiful blue sky from the morning.

I was able to take a walk to the station while listening to my favorite music.

I was able to travel comfortably on a train that wasn't even crowded.

I read notes with both eyes, chuckled, and felt my heart warm up.

I was able to breathe without even thinking about it, and clean while humming my favorite songs.

No matter how hot it was, or how much my heart pounded when I ran, my heart didn't burst, and it never stopped beating.

Without me even asking, my stomach digested my lunch rice ball perfectly.

The cheesecake I had for a snack was delicious.

Looking at old photos brought back happy memories, and I found myself smiling without even realizing it.

I was able to think with my head and decide what my next note article would be about.

I was able to tell someone dear to me, "Thank you for everything, as always."

Thankfully, my family members are all doing well and haven't collapsed from the heat.

And so, I was able to spend a very, very happy day today.

Just being alive is happiness.

Today was also full of little bits of happiness.

I hope there are many days when you can feel that way.

Life can sometimes feel long and arduous, but I believe that by just changing your perspective a little, you can feel that your days are filled with sweet happiness.

What kind of happiness did you have today?

May you all be happy today, tomorrow, and the day after.

Thank you very much for watching until the end.๐ŸŒท
