"Today is a Good Day to Die" — Living in This Moment with the Joy of the Soul
"Today is a Good Day to Die"
There is a saying like this in Native American culture. When I asked AI to research it to add some explanation, I discovered it is part of the following poem.
Today is a good day to die.
All living things are breathing with me.
All voices are singing in chorus within me.
All beauty has come to rest in my eyes.
All bad thoughts have departed from me.
Today is a good day to die.
What "Today is a Good Day to Die" Taught Me
This is a poem imbued with Oneness, viewing death not as an end, but as a cosmic cycle. It vividly conveys the joy of living in the here and now, rather than fearing death. I feel it speaks to the world seen through fifth-dimensional consciousness—that is,a sense of unity with nature and the universe, inner peace, and the completion of life.In yesterday's
LOVE YOUR BODYTikTok LIVE talk with Chairman Ogasumi titled"Adults Discussing Love and the Future Over Eschatology,"there were many realizations. When focusing on the word "eschatology," the RAS (Reticular Activating System, the brain's evidence-gathering function) works to draw in various information, which might reveal the view of life and death that was already within me. In that context, as was also discussed in the psychology course, it is said that when people realize their lives are limited, experiments show that many go to express their gratitude to others. And I feel that what we do when faced with death is truly what our souls want to do, and everything else is just a false desire formed by the ego. It is a phantom desire generated by the illusion of anxiety and fear, stemming from an extension of past memories. In other words, I realized that we were not born on this Earth to achieve something, but simply to embody our souls, to "express love and gratitude using this physical body."
Yes, that was it. My soul rejoiced deeply. What I truly want to do is just express my soul. It is not about earning money for a living, teaching someone something, helping someone, or guiding someone; I purely want to express my soul. And I feel that I have the most passion for that, and it feels like that alone is enough. Ah, that was it. I want to immerse myself in love and gratitude to the point where I can see nothing else. Tears welled up.
When You Realize What Is More Important Than Rewards, Your Soul Trembles with Joy
Right now, I love sharing content, and while I don't think it directly helps someone or generates rewards, if I didn't have to worry about anything, this is what I would still want to be doing. Honestly, I'm not a great speaker, nor am I particularly good at writing. The saying "practice makes perfect" is a lie, but my soul is screaming that it wants to do this even if I'm not good at it. Even though my ego was whispering behind my back, "Isn't this level not even a hobby?"
However, gradually... especially on TikTok, I feel love and gratitude resonating with the love and gratitude of others, returning like an echo, whether through heartfelt messages of thanks sent daily or gifts during LIVEs. I have a vague sense that this will surely expand. But until now, I was impatient for immediate money and couldn't focus because I was worried if it wouldn't lead to immediate rewards. But what I reaffirmed yesterday was: isn't it about time I got obsessed with creative work and sharing as a co-creation with myself and others who can resonate with the same love and gratitude? I actually felt a sense of sympathy for the way struggling artists immerse themselves in what they love. But being filled with material desires, I might have been watching from afar, telling myself that such a life seems hard and that I should stick to things that provide high rewards.
It is not effort. It is a sense of passion that drives you.
When you immerse yourself in what your soul desires, even if it looks like you are working hard from the outside, from your perspective, you are not working hard; you are simply being driven, and it is neither effort nor struggle. And as if the universe is lending a hand, you will have miracle-like experiences, such as quickly mastering unfamiliar things or doing things you were convinced you were bad at. Yesterday, I also immersed myself in computer work that I am bad at and created a LIVE announcement in no time. Work that would have taken me days because I hated it so much was done surprisingly easily. Ah, this is it... I finally remembered this feeling of passion.
Feelings of incompetence or unfamiliarity are also products of the past. Thinking "I don't want to do this because I'm bad at it" is the voice of the ego; if you become a newborn self without memories, you can tackle it with excitement like a child with a new toy. Yes, what is there is the creation of an "opportunity to express love and gratitude," which was the task of announcing the live stream or seminar.
I don't even care anymore about wanting many people to come or how to get noticed. The joy of the soul in the here and now as I create it, that is all. Pure consciousness where intention has completely vanished—ah, this is it. Not doing something for the sake of something else, but just doing it. Without needing any meaning, intention, or results at all.
The "World Beyond Purpose and Meaning" That Zen Taught Me
A book I encountered when I went to the library to look for reference books while writing an article about Zazen. It described the difference between Western mindfulness meditation and Zazen, and my soul trembled. Western mindfulness meditation prioritizes purpose and results. The effects of meditation are proven, and one meditates to obtain those effects or results. However, Zazen does not seek, look for, or prove any effects or results; one "just sits." In other words, one sits just to sit. I was impressed and thrilled by that Zen attitude. I understand, I understand that feeling.
I have been meditating for a long time since the COVID-19 pandemic, and why? Because it just feels good. At first, it wasn't like that at all; sitting still was painful and felt fidgety, and I had tried meditation many times before that, but I couldn't continue any of them. But this time, it's a feeling of doing it because I love it. So, I have extinguished any results or purposes, and it is close to just sitting. There are times when it doesn't feel good, but I feel like, "So what?" and just sit. Looking back, if I think about the secondary effects or the results it led to, there are countless benefits, but I no longer pay attention to such things, nor do I particularly recommend it to anyone, nor do I intend to make a living from it. My soul seems to be telling me to return to those days when I spent the day with only this pure consciousness. I think that way of living is what mindfulness is.
Living in the here and now is a phrase I've heard until I'm sick of it, but since shifting to fifth-dimensional consciousness, I've realized through experience that it is the truth and there is nothing else. The concept of time has almost disappeared, and my life has changed to one where I don't worry about the clock. Those days when I spent my time being chased by time and schedules look hazy like a mirage. Even the rising and setting of the sun is irrelevant, and I live faithfully to my own inner clock, so I no longer have set times for sleeping or waking up. That might look like an incredibly irregular life to others, but for me, it is incredibly comfortable. Because I am not making my soul endure anything. Now, the "feeling" of this moment, if I don't block it myself, spreads infinitely, and the past, the future, and someone else's way of life exist simultaneously, floating up freely. My life has changed to one where time does not flow linearly, but spreads like a sphere. I know that living in the here and now is not about sacrificing the present for the future, nor living as an extension of past memories, but that life is a series of brand-new, newborn moments. Just as elementary particles disappear and are born, I and the Earth are actually brand-new souls in this very moment. And I want to feel the happiness of resonating with the present with people who can share this feeling.
Toward a Way of Being Where You Can Laugh, "Today is a Good Day to Die"
Thanks to the movement called eschatology, our consciousness is also transforming. That we can return to a way of being where we can look up at the heavens and laugh refreshingly, saying today is a good day to die. The soul... the universe... is watching us with a smile.
In other words, no matter when this world ends, there is nothing to be afraid of. Because I have nothing but gratitude for the natural workings within the cycle of nature, and I have no complaints at all. Perhaps the truth is that we can be most grateful for the end of life. You will realize that the suffering of death is also an illusion born from the influence of past information.
I love solo broadcasting and solo LIVEs because they are free without the intervention or obstruction of others, but the chemical reaction that happens because it's with someone else is also irresistible. I have finally reached the realm of the true joy of co-creation. I have always wished for it. Co-creation with someone.
I am waiting for many invitations for joint collaborations from all genres and perspectives! For details and applications, checkRental Maria.
And next, I will hold an eschatology talk session on Zoom 😊
