If you did, you have a perfectly normal state of mind.
For those of you who did!!
I would now like to introduceManpukuji Temple's ‘Ineffective’ Amuletand explain what kind of amulet it is.
“I have many amulets that are supposed to be very effective, but I don't feel like my life is actually getting any better...”or“I have an amulet, but does it really work?”are things I hear often.
When people are suffering and troubled by things that don't go as planned—things they cannot solve with their own strength—it’s not quite ‘praying to God only when in trouble,’but
they naturally end up wanting their destiny to change dramatically and try to rely on mysterious powers like those of Buddhas or gods.
As a result, they might impulsively buy a bracelet“that makes you rich just by wearing it”like the ones advertised on the back covers of magazines,
or they might wait in long lines to buy an“amulet”that is said to improve your life just by carrying it, or a famous“amulet”for financial luck to help them win the lottery.
I myself, when I first became a monk and a childcare worker, was so troubled and suffered so much from things not going my way and an overwhelming sense of emptiness that I wanted to change my life.
I would wait in line to buy ‘amulets’ rumored to be very effective, and I always kept them with me, never letting them leave my side.
However, I realized that just owning an ‘amulet’ hardly changes your life at all.
So, how can you change your life into a good one, full of happiness and fulfillment?
I realized that the most important thing is not just to own an ‘amulet,’ but to use it to change‘your heart.’
And, rather than just wishing,“Oh, I wish I could be like that,”it is only when you decide with a strong heart,“I will definitely become this!!”and take action, that your life begins to change little by little.
In fact, by deciding in my heart and acting on the belief that“Through the connections at Manpukuji, I want as many people as possible to come to love tomorrow, cherish this very moment, and find happiness,”
I now have many wonderful encounters and connections,“this is who I will become”and my ideals are gradually becoming reality,
and while there are times when I fail or suffer because things don't go as planned, I truly feel that my life has become more fulfilling and wonderful than ever before.
While there are many temples and shrines that are actually called power spots, and I believe there are charms that can improve your financial luck, career luck, and love luck just by holding them,
the effect of Manpukuji Temple's lucky charm 'Kikanai OMAMORI' is absolutely '0' if you just hold it!!
'Kikanai OMAMORI'is for as many people as possible who hold it to decide for themselves, 'I will make this happen!!' with their own will,I will make this happen!!'and
rather than just relying on the power of the charm,by first taking action with your own will, and by attracting good fortune through your own efforts toward your dreams and goals,
