In Episode 1, Ren Kuroki, a man in his 30s who had been a shut-in for many years, visited the Type B Employment Support Office, MANGA Dojo, at his mother's suggestion.
"If it's just to look,"
"If it's just to inquire,"
"If it's just for one hour,"
Supported by such small pieces of reassurance, Ren began to step out of his room little by little.
And in Episode 2, the story begins with Renheading to the MANGA Dojo trial by himselffor the first time.
His mother is not coming with him.
He cannot have someone else speak for him.
Even so, Ren stands alone at the entrance of the MANGA Dojo.

What I wanted to depict in this second episode wasthe accumulation of anxiety and reassurance leading up to the trial, rather than the trial itself.
"The explanation of the system seems difficult"
"I want to ask a question, but I can't find my voice"
"I get nervous just holding a pen"
For those small hurdles, the MANGA Dojo side prepares escape routes and options one by one.
Just one hour is fine.
Starting from the basics is fine.
Asking questions via LINE is fine.
Not being able to draw well is fine.
Ren does not regain confidence all of a sudden.
Even so, in the end, he progresses to the point where he can think,
"I want to try doing things here little by little."
