I realized that 'the body is your capital' when working
Since June of this year, I have been working as a
hospitalnursing assistant, andworking part-time. Although the
working hours are short, at 3 hours, 2 days a week,my working hours are short
, but I am striving tobalance my mind and body with work, balancethem.
▷ Hospital work is a test of physical strength
It all comes down to this one thing.
Especially for nurses and nursing assistants, it isalways a test of physical strength. I
do not have any physical care duties, but because I am
constantly walkingaround the ward andcarrying heavy objects, I use morephysical strength
than I imagined.
Cleaning hospital rooms, as well asserving and clearing lunch trays
waste disposalandreplenishing suppliesmean it is
standing work, and there are alsomany opportunities to carry heavy items.
▷ Physical strength comes later
Strangely enough, after about a month, I
naturallygained the physical strength to endure the work. I am now able to
carry heavy things I couldn't hold at homeand
can carry them.
If anything, Ido not have confidence
in my physical strength. However, thanks tothis part-time job, I have become able to
carry heavy objects, andmy parents are very surprised
.
▷ Relieve the day's fatigue within that same day
Just because you build up physical strength doesn't mean you have a
“body that never gets tired”
Swollen legs and lower back pain are painful Since I started my part-time job, I have been trying to
relieve the day's fatigue within that same day to the best of my ability
・Soak in a bathtub to improve blood circulation in your body
・Stretch after bathing
・Massage your calves and soles of your feet with body cream
By doing these three things, it has become harder for fatigue to carry over to the next day
When physical fatigue
drags on your mental state also becomes depressed and you
lose the motivation to move your body
▷ Find a way to manage your physical condition that works for you
Since I started working at a hospital, I have deeply felt that everything depends on the fact that 'your body is your capital'.
I understand this in my head
but people with mental illnesses or disabilities and developmental disabilities themselves have
fluctuations in their physical condition so building physical strength and managing physical condition can feel like
pressure
Why don't you try something for your physical health?
Even something mundane is fine Drinking Yakult or something
affordable and easy is enough.
It is okay to fail
Failure is also a valuableexperienceSmall
accumulationsof
experience will build your self-confidence🙂
