Haiku: Cocoa
"Want some cocoa?" The reason for the tears, another time.
(Seasonal word: "Cocoa")
Don't pry.
Just be there, casually.
When things are truly tough,
that's the kind of person I want to be for them.
I wanted to be that kind of mother.
No, I still want to be.
Even though my children have grown into adults now.
It might be too late.
But I've started to learn the trick of it a little.
Doing nothing unnecessary is difficult.
But even if we make mistakes or have falling outs,
the morning comes again.
Understanding is not
the only way.
Even if I want to understand but can't,
I should still be able to stay by their side.
While failing, little by little,
may I become stronger and kinder.
I don't want to give up.
Because the one who is saved by being there
is none other than myself.
Today passed peacefully as well.
I drink cocoa and let my thoughts wander.
About the sweetness and bitterness of my own
child-rearing (or rather, parent-rearing).
