And it's 'Chilling Senryu' & 'Oops! Senryu'. I feel like saying, 'I'm a princess 🕶️👙'. (Though I won't.)
Chilling Senryu
A story from when I was still an office worker.
I stayed out late at a drinking party, tried to go home on a line I wasn't used to, and missed my transfer station. Since I was planning to transfer from the last train to the last train, there was no other way. I took a taxi from one station further. (The expense hurt 💦)
But I made it home, so it's okay.
So, I haven't messed up yet. It was a close call, but I'm safe.
My part-time shift schedule is quite complicated, so being the scatterbrain I am, I sometimes make mistakes. It's embarrassing to show up for work on a day I'm supposed to be off, as it makes me look like I'm way too motivated (((￣д￣;
But you know, sometimes things like, 'Perfect timing! Someone called in sick today,' happen.
Of course, I'll gladly work.
By the way, I've never forgotten and ended up being absent 😨.
So, I haven't messed up yet. It was a close call, but I'm safe.
Oops! Senryu
This is the kind of 'oops' moment that makes onlookers freeze 🥶.
A few years ago, I unconsciously performed the grand feat of forcibly shoving my Suica card into the ticket slot of an automatic ticket gate Σ('◉⌓◉’)????
(The gate is designed to accept larger tickets like limited express tickets, so if you really wanted to... well, yeah)
I consider myself a city dweller who is used to taking trains. I wasn't troubled by anything, it was just an unbelievable, painful blunder...
Right after I thought 'Oh no,' I tried to act painfully calm, as if to say, 'I didn't do anything that big.' (So petty!) Beside me, my 12-year-old daughter, Ku-chan, was stunned and then looked worried and apologetic. Ever since that day, I feel like I can't look Ku-chan in the eye.
Then, a station attendant came out from inside the door, opened the machine wide from the bottom with a clatter, and managed to pull out my Suica, so it didn't turn into a major incident. If I had broken the ticket gate... how much would the compensation be???
